    Hello Brotherhood.

So yesterday I took the 348 for a short drive and it started to drizzle a little. Turned the wipers on and my driver's side wiper went immediately crooked. Upon disassembly, I noticed that that poorly-designed pin sheared on the pantograph arm. I STFA'd and saw someone suggesting drilling the busted pin out from the top and perhaps using a screw, etc. as a fix. However, I could not find any photos of completed repair, etc.
The issue is that I am having one hell of a time drilling this out, even with cobalt, etc bits.

So, I am looking for suggestions and some photos of completed repair. I will also update this as I continue to wrestle with this project. This is a bad design, really. The pin can shear off if the pantograph section is lifted out a little. Once sheared, it is a PITA as the pin is hardened steel.

That's what I was thinking. Or, more precisely, a Dremel with a diamond wheel. But I haven't looked at one so I didn't know if it'd work.

A passenger side arm works on the drivers side (less $ and more avaialble on ebay/parts places) until you can find/repair the actual drivers side one. Just a thought

Could it be possible to machine the btm part of the arm from the elbow as a single piece or get it metal 3D printed?

I like this thought! I think I will go with 2x passenger arms.

Update for future reference. Installed F355 passenger arm on driver side. Works perfectly fine. Now I don't have to worry about this pin issue again.

anyone know what they were thinking when they used that (extra arm) design? Clearly they abandoned it on the 355
