Is that almost everyone who tries does it by following the pattern of a group! Bikers, goths, punks, skaters, etc. all do the same types of things to 'rebel' against 'the system.' They reject the larger stereotype to be a part of a smaller stereotype. The most ironic being 'anarchists.'
