Pretty sure b-mak meant it as a joke regarding Husker's X-Terra thread: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=149636
1998 Grand Cherokee 5.2 vs. 5.9 I'd rather have a well kept 5.2 than a beat-to-hell 5.9, but all else being equal the 5.9 is a pretty rare, special model. Was a popular sand toy for Saudi princes (who couldn't afford an LM002 I imagine). Towing capacity is only ~3000lbs on most any ZJ Grand Cherokee due to their narrowness and relative light weight. If you're patient and look around the country you should be able to find a nice 5.9 with ~125k miles for around $4-5k. Mine has 160k miles and other than normal wear items is in very nice overall shape. One other 5.9 problem area I forgot to mention is the intake plenum gasket. The stock one is tin and will eventually break, allowing oil to leak into the intake under heavy throttle. Permanent fix is an aluminum plenum plate from Hughes Engines for $120 . So this came to the shop in desperate need of some attention. It had been sitting for 6 years and needed a paint job and some mechanical work....as far as we knew. We ended up going through the electrical system, engine(already had the V8), interior.....essentially the whole car. 80 Hours and under $10,000. Enjoy! That is awesome!! We put a stock hemi in my buddies jeep for him while he was stationed in germany. That thing is a beast, can only imagine yours. This is dad's 91. Only a four cyl for now, but it's still fun to drive. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Keep the Jeep pics coming, love to see them . I really love the looks of the CJ. At some point I need to buy myself a car that can actually drive on snow.
That's what you think!! I'll be the first one to get to mash the pedal to the floor for the first time !
I'm kind of digging the cab-over Euro-styling concept.... http://autos.yahoo.com/blogs/motoramic/jeep-revives-forward-control-gladiator-pickups-easter-concepts-203117868.html
