Took the wrap off & had it Rhino Lined! A little larger tire & flares went along with the new texture. Tough lizard skin. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It may have been on grass before... Heck... I dont know if this thing has ever been anymore than a snow truck. Its LOTS of fun in the snow tho' It was really built for the SEMA show, but we have not gotten our act together enough to get hooked up yet. It did get a full photo op with a magazine last week. It should be in a few 4x4 mags soon.
for whatever reason I never posted this here, I bought a 2012 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 with a Hemi in late August. it was hard to find a 4x4 V8 in SoCal so far about 2500 miles, mostly driving around west LA but have made some highway trips to OC and Ventura. gotta love a big dumb SUV with a V8 haven't taken it off road yet, would love to do that soon. neighbor has one. cool truck. seriously considered the new one when I bought my GC but decided it wasn't the right tool for the job. but it was very tempting
Your Jeep looks great! I looked at the new SRT8 too, many valuable upgrades over previous one. I don't like the price lol, would rather pick up Raptor or low mileage GL550 or Cayenne GTX. Actually the only thing that screams update in the old one is AC - it's really bad and has a separate life on it's own, never mind the controls...
the two knocks against a new SRT for me were no towing capacity (Jeep basically tells you NOT to tow with this car, despite moving the exhausts to the side so you could install a hitch) and the cost...at that price I'm buying a Cayenne S or Cayenne Diesel.
0-60mph in the 3's 1/4 mile in the high 11's makes my 360 feel like i am driving an underpowered go-cart! ridiculous, but fun. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yikes, I hope the new front-end treatment looks better in person. http://www.autoblog.com/2012/11/26/2014-jeep-grand-cherokee-caught-with-new-headlights-grille-expo/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
not digging it (looks like they're from the Chrysler 200 parts bin), but then my single biggest complaint about my GC is the lack of Xenon/LED/HID headlights...can't see crap at night. OK second biggest complaint. biggest complaint is 12 mpg city
Nothing a diesel and an 8 speed tranny can't fix...for MY2014. Even my 4 banger, 5 speed Liberty gets crap in the city and barely gets 20 mpg on the hwy.
