He's opening a commercial establishment but wants to keep the location secret? Interesting method of advertising/publicizing, no?

    Finnish Karaoke? Oh, brother...

That must sound like nails on a chalkboard. But, hey, why not? I mean the guy has to plan for his retirement, right?

I appreciate it...I'd like to just start focusing on the season, and no longer dwell on this thread, which at times has been emotionally deflating....

    Thank you everyone

Drive to Switzerland instead; he is living there most of the time, not too far of where Sebastian Vettel lives also...

Looks like Vettel has a house in Switzerland for tax purposes only. He used to lived in canton Zug like Raikkonen but since 2014 bought a house at canton Thurgau which borders Germany

    Baar, very nice village.

If Kimi finds a car suited to his style, then he is motivated and brilliant on the track.

But if the car isn't to his liking, then he will be just an also-ran driving like a journeyman.

He was well below form during the last year of his first stint at the Scuderia, and also during his last year at Lotus. In both cases, he didn't like the driving characteristics of his car, and was demotivated by it.

The "Lotus owes me money" claim, and later the back operation to curtail the season, were just excuses to mask the fact that he couldn't adapt to the handling of his car; something even Grosjean overcame. Kimi blamed the steering rack for his bad performance, and then looked for different excuses.

If the 2017 Ferrari is to his taste, Kimi will be good. If not, he will not drive in 2018.

For me, Kimi was at his best when he drove for McLaren (yes, really !), and only unreliability deprived him of a WDC then.

Agree, especially with your last comment, but a really good driver adapts and shouldn't be so easily demotivated. Look at what Alonso has had to deal with and he still gets in the car and gives it 110%! A racing car is never perfect, there is always a compromise or something to deal with.

Heck if Kimi hates the privileges of being a F1 driver, he can swap places with me ;) :D

    Rubbish, no-one can give 110%

    Unless he's possessed :p

Seriously, Alonso is over-rated, great driver yes, but not as good as everyone likes to portray .

And it's 2017 and the word "privilege" has a very negative connotation these days.

Common saying that means he always tries. Even you John must have heard this before ;)
I believe Alonso is the only driver on the grid to have never been beaten by a team mate once the season comes to an end and the points are tallied.
