OMG!
If Lambo will make that mistake to produce Estoque, I'm so happy to notice Audi never understood Ferruccio's philosophy and all our precious Vintage Lambo front engine 2+2 will remain unique jewels for eternity...
SLR, Aston DB9, shoved into one car and 2 rear doors added for good measure..looks ok but in the flesh I bet its stunning.
Stephan said it all... almost... http://www.classicdriver.com/uk/magazine/3300.asp?id=14910 I'm curious to discover the difference between the prototype and the production model !
Ferrucio is history! Lamborghini, like AUDI, BMW, FERRARI, MASERATI, ASTON MARTIN, PORSCHE and MERCEDES is a modern company that has to make a profit. The financial input into a development of a new car is so high in our days (incl. to match the int. homologations! - something that was not existing in ol`Ferruccio`s days for those small car makers!), that they have to make money! History is great for the image - but it doesn`t sell cars (example: Ferrari!). Also the modern high-performance cars are products. High tech products without a soul (more or less! No Olivier, they don`t have panel beaters anymore....) I like the idea to make a 4-door car with the bull on its nose! So lets give them a chance and see what will come out! Ciao! Walter (btw. I also don`t like this jet-stealth-bomber-dashboard!)
As only idiots don't change their mind... I will also give them a chance... I can imagine an Estoque in my garage beside my Miura, Jarama and Islero... why not with my 3 children, it should have enough room on the rear seat and my front V12 Lambos will be for ever the last Lambo 2+2...
Very cool article on the Estoque: http://www.thenational.ae/lifestyle/motoring/insider-says-upcoming-audi-platform-gives-life-to-the-lamborghini-estoque
Pics: http://www.caranddriver.com/photo-gallery/2012-lamborghini-estoque I was hopping for a bit more oomph, and the C-pilar area is a bit too current Camaro for me, but I like it. Blurb: http://www.caranddriver.com/news/2012-lamborghini-estoque-car-news
