Oh man! I entirely forgot that you were looking for a motorcycle to keep on the deck of your boat, a motorcycle which will be transported on your pickup, or maybe a van.

Please keep us updated on your search.

And damn this ****ed up knee/leg. I ran across a beee-you-ti-fuuuul Softtail bagger with only 10K miles for $7,000 at a local garage sale. The lady had to sell because she broke her shoulder, so we had a moment of commiseration about how getting old sucks.

Gee, I'd love to play but a motorcycle in flat, no curves FL is no fun.
However...since I've obviously not gotten over my Brit bike thing, maybe a late 60's Bonneville or Daytona
Also have my eye on the KTM 690 single...I like big singles...or a 790/890 Duke.
    Again. Florida. Wah.

And probably something similar available on your local cragislist or cycletrader any time you want!

which means you can use it, keep it on a boat whatever and just enjoy.

it’s not a bad bike and triumph makes similar looking ones now with maybe better performance whatever that means. In short it’s a nice looking good performing bike not rare or necessarily “collectible”. A good piece sow thing to use and use up for fun and not feel bad about when it’s done. A form of freedom then

I agree. It doesn't particularly do anything for me (I would get a Street Triple if I were looking for a bike in that category), but then most "nostalgia" bikes don't really appeal to me. Well, except for my BMW R9T Racer, but that thing is just so beautiful!

However, that takes nothing away from it-- I think it's a fine bike. I have a lot of miles on my friend's 1200 Scrambler, which is similar, well sort of, and it's a great bike as well. Not one I would own, but that's just a matter of personal preference.
