    2000 Hp and a 1/4 mile in 6.7 seconds.

Good luck with that; especially with street tires.

Sounds like another pipe dream, much like the Vector WX8 (2006) with supposed 1850 HP.... we all believed the hype around that one. /sarcasm.

My next car is going to be 4000bhp through turbine engines, do 0-60 in .6 seconds and the quarter in 3.8 seconds.

See, i can make up pointless facts about a mythical car as well.

I know they are trying to stir up talk and interest, but anyone who knows anything, knows those numbers are unachievable from a street car.....Not the HP figure, but everything else.

2000 hP in that body? Good luck on that. A lot of heat coming out of that engine , then there is the matter of how you get 2000HP to the ground. Vapor

+1. They make the reference to pro stock cars that have 17" wide rear tires that run super low psi as well as a shifting set up designed strictly for quick shifts and from the pics of the interior looks like they're planning on using, presumably, a 6-speed so shifting fast enough to run a 6.7 quarter will be a feat in itself

The subject line is too long for the tab in my browser, so it became truncated to read:
The latest hypercar is truly hype...

Just one more reason why I like Firefox! :)

    BS.

So lets assume this new "hyper" car will weigh 3400 pounds at best, with safety equipment, power top, huge twin turbo engine, heavy duty transmission etc. That would mean it would still weigh less than the 458 spider will. A modern F1 car, even with the new power reduced 2.4 V8 producing 780hp has a better power to weight ratio. The F1 car has better electronics, more gears, 14 inch wide tires, better aerodynamics and it is still slower than this "hyper" car? HA! That is ridiculous. Even the 1000hp v10 monsters couldn't match this "hyper car"in acceleration. What a joke.

This car means nothing to me, just like the ssc ultimate aero means nothing. They seem like kit cars and for some reason don't command the same respect as the Bugatti Veyron.

    quite funny, we will see!
I remember a discussion few years ago with Roland Gumpert, it was very similar approach on the specs for the apollo, but more realistic on the marketing point of view, and with the help of Audi/porsches group and his own experience as chief engineer from Audi sport, so we will see.
