I'm making no predictions other than that given their track records Macca will recover and MB will muddle.
I won't be surprised if the board at MB have a tough time justifying the team budget if it cant return to at least mediocrity and stop the embarrassment that was Spain from reoccurring.

I guess that after three full Grand Prix seasons already, plus another season already at about one third...well, when you made the balance between one race won on one hand, and the expenditure to hire half the Formula One talents of designers, managers, plus Lewis retainer on the other; that does not bode well for the future indeed.
I don't see MB sustaining that level of expenditure for very long if success is not just around the corner. They might well pull the plug at the end of the year I would say...

And then Ross might bought the remnants of the team and do a "Brawn" again, just like he did back in 2009...

I've been saying this for years against great resistance on this board.

The only reason I can think of why the French might not be hot about Vettel is that he is German. As a Swiss I can certainly understand that.

But they should be smarter than that. And since Vettel lives in Switzerland, I have forgiven him his passport anyhow.

He will, of course. But he'll be at the opposite end of Lewis. Instead of having a lot of money but just one title, he'll have many titles (3 already) but will want a lot of money . And Ferrari can certainly supply that. He'll drive a red car some day; the only question is when. Hope those 2 stars align sooner rather than later. Have a good one folks.

 

Well, I don't know about other countries, nor about the USA, but what most people really do HATE about him here is his finger gesture after each win; they see this as a display of crass arrogance. And they hate that so much that he is usually called: "finger" (in english) between french Formula One enthusiasts.
In fact, if my memory serves me well ("time waits for no one", as somebody said) the general perception of him, the general feelings towards the guy is more or less the same as what was the feeling towards Michael Schumacher during his Benetton years...

 

It is a silly PR gesture. There must be some PR bloke who told the F1 winners, that they need a "patented" gesture after a victory as their trademark. MS did his fisted jump on the podium, Alonso came up with some bizarre gesture dances on the car and Vettel does the finger. It is stupid, but I'm sure not meant in arrogance.

Funny, back then I actually liked the guy and rooted for him. It took me a while to discover the ugly truth beneath.

Heard a funny Schuey story on Friday night at dinner with some Ferrari people, seems the Schu was at the same gym as a 'young' lady from the Coast and she saw this small guy with huge arms and neck with a BIG bodyguard and she walked over to him and asked if he was MS, to which he replied with a smile " I might be " .
