When do you think Lewis will come out of the closet?
I People are getting banned by mentioning the word Br*xit yet homophobia is alive and well tolerated on this board. Underscoring the stereotype that some have of the ‘typical’ Ferrari owner or enthusiast. Let’s be better than that.
As I've said in the past, and as is the formal position of the forum, someone's sexuality is irrelevant. Hamilton could be heterosexual, bisexual, homosexual, asexual, or any other orientation, and it doesn't matter a damn which one. If you want to ridicule someone based on their sexuality, find another forum - this one's not for you. Please be mindful of this when you broach this subject. Brexit is a political discussion. We have a Politics & Religion forum to contain the toxicity of such discourse from poluting the rest of the forum because people cannot be trusted to politely discuss such inflammatory topics. We have a long-standing rule in place across the forum that P&R posts outside of the appropriate area are responded to with a standard 1-day ban, escalated to longer duration for persistent offenders. I hope this clears up any confusion on the matter. As for homophobia, it is not tolerated on FerrariChat. See my unequivocal reply above. All the best, Andrew.
I'm sorry, but both subjects are socio-political. One has a nearly zero tolerance while the other carries a really low standard. I'd hardly say that homophobia is not tolerated on fchat... it's very easily brushed off. 'Cut it out' is the harshest rebuke I've ever seen.
Come over to the Aussie section ....... we're all gay over there ....... not that there is anything wrong with that (Seinfeld) Some of the boys pretend to be straight but they're just doing an Elton John
OK, I get your point. Mea Culpa. But read the title of this thread. It should be banned as well to be consistent, as it is a homophobic based insult.
Sexuality is not inherently a political subject, although some sure have tried to weaponize it on many sides of political debate. Some drivers have girlfriends or wives and they get discussed without outrage, so I see no need to get upset about discussing a driver with a boyfriend or husband. As long as people aren't using sexuality as a platform of ridicule, there's no problem. Furthermore, as you're rebuking us for apparent homophobia, you should look up what people have said in serious discussions on the topic when it has arisen: Note the "enlightened" generalizations from the disgraced ex-user (Hamilton fan) and the calm dismissal of his arguments from the Tifosi. I have previously addressed the use of the nickname Elton for Hamilton: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/2016-formula-1-belgian-grand-prix-race-spoilers.531156/page-48#post-144894471 And when Jaime Alguersuari came out as gay, people were either indifferent or supportive: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/turns-out-sutil-wasnt-the-gay-one.514828/ To the vast membership, sexuality is irrelevant. When something has come across awkwardly, I have had behind the scenes talks with numerous members on an individual basis to advise them on better communication. Just because you don't see serious guiding discussion on the topic doesn't mean it is not constantly happening. I am comfortable with our reputation on this matter. It is not a reasonable expectation of a volunteer moderator team to have absolute control over everything posted, that is even beyond the capability of a full-time paid team (if it existed). Members are responsible for their own posted content and whatever reputation that gives them as individuals. All the best, Andrew.
Okay. You've blown my cover. I shall repent and join the club.... Girly Lew-Lew sucks!!! (There, is that more "sensible" and less "inciteful" "conversation"? I didn't know that, unlike americanlemansfans.com, FerrariChat.com absorbed crapwagon.com. What do I know, right? I'm just a troll.... )
Nope, stating the obvious (Lou Lou sux) isn't inciteful and if the club accepts me then it can't be much of a club You're not a troll but you can wiggle my buttons occasionally ....... which can be a good thing if done properly
It's funny...whenever the chorus starts to really swell about Lewis being "mental weak" or having some sort of "mental breakdown" etc... ...he usually goes on race winning tear immediately after. Lewis has been built up and torn down so many times, it's just old hat now. He's likely jetting off somewhere with his pups and posse to recharge while the internet rage rumbles in the distance. He'll be back in Germany fast and motivated, like always.
Hehe, i wouldn't dream of sneaking in...i was told you guys tend to have big poisonous spiders in funny places like toilets and showers, and being an Aussie i'm pretty sure you are a hairy guy (i understand, you guys need protection from the sun), so you're shower could be a perfect hiding place for such big bugs!! We do have some big bugs around here, this is the biggest one (around 8cm) but it's pretty harmless and it's called (blonde cow) Image Unavailable, Please Login
It would give the gay community another thing to be prideful about; some of this vitriol though, the passion...wait.... ...Forza Ferrari!!
I am #blessed to be in the UK in Goodwood at the Festival of Speed with the best Racing fans in the World, the ones Lewis is giving everything for... and guess who will drive the Mercedes up the hill this afternoon? Yes, you are right... Valterie Bottas! But Lewis had to attend Wimbledon for the women's final alongside Wintour so he is excused... who is actually surprised? One has to have priorities [emoji6] Gesendet von meinem SM-G930F mit Tapatalk
And he knew a few weeks ago that she will be in the final when the line-up at Goodwood was announced? He rarely shows up over here, last year it was Valterie as well and even Nico showed up in the past. I only remember Lewis coming twice and one was when he was still racing for McLaren.... Blasphemy I say!!! Passing up something as sacred as The Festival for something as earthly as this silly thing called "Wimbeldin" ??? Now that's real reason to say that Lewis su....uhh....disappoints. How dare he....we're talking race cars here.... (edit: Neur, is that okay? )
