This will be a busier thread lol ???????? http://www.espn.co.uk/f1/story/_/id/24173938/mercedes-encourages-lewis-hamilton-speak-mind-social-media Mercedes encourages Lewis Hamilton to 'speak his mind' on social media
Although I am loath to post in this thread, because LH does not suck as a driver.... ....and his supporters wonder why he is unlikable..... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/othersports/article-5987763/Lewis-Hamilton-says-hes-little-chubby-series-Instagram-posts.html
Just riding a mountain bike.......? Nothing... Appearing vain, preening while taking selfies and complaining about he is chubby and how much his ass hurts......yeah....unlikable and classless. But you knew that.... http://media.giphy.com/media/2vni9cIIe2hccyLCXj/giphy.gif It would appear that it is just not those of us on the outside that feel this way....
I saw a blurb from Hamilton on Facebook today promoting the USGP at Austin. So yeah, Mercedes likes this aspect of him. We all know F1 needs younger fans developed.
Does he have to brag about what he does? Does he have to alienate a bunch of his fans by saying he is fat when he is a twig? Everyone needs a life but those posts were ridicules. I guess he "thinks" his fans want this? Are you his fan and want to see this?
Didn't realize one had to be knee deep in social media to be human and live a rich, meaningful life...I know of dozens of people just from the forums who live very colorful and wonderful lives that intentionally shy away from the social media "limelight". F***ing millennials...
I did'nt get the sense that he is bragging, actually looks like he's trying to say he sucks at mountain biking. Other drivers use social media and have posted pics of themselves, only Lewis gets criticism. I don't follow Lewis on social media, but the pics give insite to his life off track so its cool with me.
Lewis has a long way to go before getting to the top step Instagram podium. Selena Gomez has 139 million followers. Who the hell is she?
I think she was Justin Biebers girlfriend....maybe Lewis should try to become Justin Biebers Girlfriend as well And yes, companies love social media as it spreads word easily...So they invite all those "influencers" to everything and cut budget for proper press work. One day they will realize that those "followers" are just to a very small extend their potential customers and that they have fed the wrong audience....
Hamilton portrays himself as Jesus says Villeneuve JULY 25, 2018 Lewis Hamilton should not be surprised when he is sometimes booed. That is the view of outspoken 1997 world champion Jacques Villeneuve. At Hockenheim last weekend, Mercedes' British driver was booed at times during the driver parade. "Lewis should not be surprised," Villeneuve is quoted by Auto Bild. "He confuses formula one with Hollywood. Everything he does is staged. "He portrays himself on social media like he is Jesus. The way he knelt next to his car after his problem in qualifying looked like the suffering of Christ. And what he said afterwards was the Sermon on the Mount. "Then he gestured so dramatically on the podium that everyone could see who sent the sudden rain," Villeneuve said. Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff, however, wants Hamilton to remain being himself. After watching the TV replay of the German grand prix, Hamilton wrote on social media that he thought Sky's ex-driver pundits could not find "a good word to say" about him. He deleted the Instagram post. But Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff told the Sun: "I actually encouraged him to leave all that stuff online and speak his mind. "It is what we need. We need to create stories. We need controversies. We need polarising stances," he added.
And in contrast, the Kimster's "I was having a sh*t" to reporters just exudes class. Nobody's perfect, but it's sheer hypocrisy to keep banging on about Lewis's supposed classlessness when other drivers (especially the ones in the red cars) are given a free pass for arguably much worse conduct. Just sayin'... (Don't get me wrong - I like Kimi. More so than Vettel actually. What I'm against is double standards).
Difference: Kimi is just Kimi, he is genuine. Lewis on the other side is creating "stories, controversies, polarising stances" as Toto said. He is just fake and canting....And his latest statements are not a loss of class but more of reality
He's the best figure for F1 in a long time. Like him or not he helps the sport's notoriety. I think Lebron and Ronaldo have like 300M followers or something absurd; hence why they both have 1B lifetime Nike contracts.
