The G650 has a max speed slightly greater than the Citation X. Mostly it became just a bragging rights game during the 650 development.

As for the interior size comparisons:

G280 is definitely wider but about the same length. Same for the G200.
    G150 is decidedly smaller.
Hawker 1000 is about equivalent as is the Falcon 50.

The Citation X is all about speed. But check those fuel burns when doing those speeds then ask about how much more range you have when backing down to normal .80. When doing that with the G650 the difference is about 1,000 nm.

Just saw today that the Citation X is rumored to be going out of production is the near future. Cessna seems to be focusing on the Lattitude and Longitude for the future. The fuselage cross section of the X goes back to the Citation III.

Back in 2004-5 I went from flying a Falcon 50 to a Sovereign. The Sovereign's cabin, which is actually a bit longer than the X (like a foot or two), felt quite a bit smaller than the 50 even though they were in fact similar in size. I believe the Sovereign had less headroom than the 50 (the 50 has a sloped floor, with maximum standing room by the door and less at the back of the cabin).

True, the X is only slightly slower then the G650 (0.925 vs 0.920 mach). The newer Citation X+ is the fastest I think and it's slightly ahead of the 650 at 0.935 mach.

If I remember correctly, one of the requirements for setting Mmo is that they have to demonstrate a dive to 0.07 mach over the proposed Mmo. The Citation X was set to 0.92 because they didn't (or couldn't?) go faster than Mach 1, so 0.99 was what they had to dive to. I don't know if Gulfstream went ahead and went supersonic or if they got some sort of waiver for this test.

I went back to look up the X+ top speed on Cessna's website and does say 0.935 (link) so that would mean it went supersonic in dive testing with that margin. After looking it up some more apparently its predecessor, the regular X, did go supersonic in dive testing...crazy.
