    Two months after I saw Mambodave's message that his car was for sale at a Charlotte Porsche dealer, I finally got to drive her home today! Wow, is this thing fun :D

    Thanks to everybody on f-chat, it's been a great experience getting her home! Especially thanks to Mambodave and 308GTS for taking care of the car for the past few years, before passing the torch to me. Thanks to Birdman and lvferraripilot for their support and advice. Thanks to M.James and TGF for sharing my excitement while I waited for the car. Thanks to Jsuit, F1Ace, PhilNotHill, and everybody else who helped me pass the time duking it out on the Politics & Religion board. And last, thanks to Bullfighter for... well... just being Bullfighter. ;)

    In other words, you guys all rock!

    Beautiful car, and it looks GREAT next to the TR3!! When my Mondial gets here next week it will also share a garage with a Little British Car! ('73 MG Midget) They should feel right at home leaking fluids next to each other, as only italian and english stuff knows how to do!

    Heh, no, didn't last long. The instant I got it home, the wife said, "Let's put the boy in it, it'll be so cute!" But I gotta give it to the boy, he threw a fit when I tried to take him back out. Such a smart boy he is :D

    I dunno, that TR3 is a jealous *****. I've no doubt she'll never run again after bringing home a younger woman.

    I have heard my 12 year old son tell his budddies the F car is going to be his first car to take to school. I told him if he makes straight As from here on out he could have it. Seems as though you are starting yours out well also.

    PS My wife is not concerned so I think I am safe

    Thanks, James! I know you were looking at this car too, and were bummed when I bought it. If it makes you feel any better, there were plenty of issues (like having to entirely rebuild the exhaust system) that turned the car into just an ok deal from a great deal.
