    That's wonderful. And of course he's right about the state of affairs with craftsmen, real engineers and ingenuity being replaced by mass-produced parts, fitters and part-swapping.

    Nice piece. I suspect in many technical endeavors that a lot of important, real-world, know-how will sadly be lost forever when this gentleman & his generation are no longer with us. Let's hope our computer underlings (overlords?) don't fail us.
