If it wasn't for Argetsinger, we'd be talking about Curtiss Turner and not Gilles Villeneuve on FChat. I am thankful that despite witnessing some of the really bad moments in racing, I attended numerous USGP's at Watkins Glen. Thanks for the post, good tribute to this man.
Just to be pendatic, Alec Uhlman, "Mr. Sebring", brought a F1 race to Sebring in '59. The winner? The then-youngest ever F1 winner, a Bruce McLaren. All of which is off the top of my head, and thus fodder for correction
