Massa drove superbly in Barcelona. No complaints. If he keeps it up like this I'm perfectly happy with him in the team.
Well he is bound to improve on his starting position in this race if he can keep it out of the barriers. >8^) ER
The Undoing of Massa: 1. The loss of a dominant car in qualifying. Of his 11 race wins, the only races he won when he was not on pole position was that one time he beat Kubica who was in the BMW into the first corner, when Kimi's exhaust broke off in France, and when he inherited the lead after Hamilton was demoted after the Belgian Grand Prix. 2. Traction control. 3. Passive team mates: A retiring and, some may argue, burnt-out Schumacher of '06 and a resigned Kimi of '08. Massa gave it his all in '07 and '08. 4. The resurgence of a phenomenon known as passing, aka overtaking. I do believe nothing annoys Massa more than someone trying to pass him. I think it infuriates him so much that he loses concentration. He has started to get used to it though. Please refer to the (light-hearted) interview he does with Rob Smedley in Monaco on Sky F1...Smedley says something to him that I have always suspected, "You never listen" or something to that effect. He also says what I think summarizes Massa perfectly, when he quotes his words to a team boss back when Massa was starting out his career..."you need to watch out for him, he is quick...a little erratic, but quick." Per Ferrari on twitter, Massa is "allright". Let the commentary begin as to what that does and does not mean.
I seriously feel like Ferrari is becoming the Red Sox of f1. always make it to the playoffs and end up sharting their pants in the last or last few races. it's such a let down for fans to half to ride the massa rollercoaster from race to race. after aus and Spain you want to root for him but it's just too much. all last year and the races this year. but with ferraris luck he will go to Williams and up wining aus and being 2nd in points before Monaco.
don't Get me wrong i am Ferrari till the end no matter where they place in the races. but their has to be a point when they get someone new. it really sucks that the seb Alonso team won't happen. because now would be the time. with Alonso age and seb has to go off the clif at some point and would be nice for Ferrari to pick up the title before he falls off. It makes no since to take him in 17 because that's got to be the clif.
You don't happen to write for Corriere Della Sport do you? If not, you should look into it. You could be their new US correspondent. You already have the editorial line down pat! (Kidding. A little.)
Really? There's a reason we call him Ko-Bash. He has a nasty habit of ending races in a shower of CF bits. Of course recently, so does Massa. So replace someone who can't qualify well due to crashes, with someone who can't finish due to crashes? Granted that mat be a baby step in the right direction....
Fixed this for you....Webber is consistent and does not crash, better for the points, ask Red Bull how it has worked out for them. Or not the 3 WCC's speak for themselves.
