Interesting BBC pole on fault. 68% of voters assign blame to Verstappen, 13% to Ricciardo, and 19% to a racing incident. Wonder how long Red Bull will put up with Max before sending him to Toro Rosso and bringing up one of the other youngsters?

I said this before Azerbaijan, but one more incident and team orders will be put in place. Now, if there is one more incident, how will the FIA respond?

They’ve already set the precedent of leaving it well alone.... why would we expect them to act. Until Maxine kills someone with his double moves and deadly lunges, the show goes on as far as liberty and the FIA are concerned, and as he seems to have a predeliction for hitting Ferraris the hardest, that stops ferrari beating the FIAs contracted winners of all titles 2014-2020, so they won’t care

Depends who's fault it is, Baku was def. Riccs fault. And Baku is a one of a kind track.

As pointed out by Helmut Marko, Max was the quicker driver of the two in Baku. The only way Ricc. was able to pass Max were the circumstances; the long straight, subsequent drag and help from the DRS. Lap after lap after lap.

The team even encouraged Ricc.to pass Max again after the pitstop didn't went as planned (Max was quicker again), Ricc. was a little too enthusiastic trying such an overtake on the last few metres of a long, long straight.

Max shouldn't change a single thing.

Yep, fully agree. Max was so much quicker that RIC managed to catch up. But then Max added a bit to his pace and RIC did overtake. Then RIC allowed crashed into Max after the overtake by having a vodoo doll in his cockpit and making Max pull a lunatic move.
Then later in the race Max was still sooo much faster that RIC was still stuck behind him. And then RIC overtook, got screwed over by an overcut and then... The freaking vodoo doll again... RIC made Max move once again under breaking + a second time defending move and created the crash...

Yes, ypsilon, I fully agree, this was all Ricciardo's fault. In particular the part where Max was so much faster all along that Ricciardo couldn't help but overtake. It is really hard as a rational person to imagine how much faster the car ahead needs to be that you attempt an overtake move, but it is good we have your assessment.

Again, Marko, Helmut Mark, not me, explained this past week Max was the quicker driver of the two in Baku.

The only way Ricc. was able to even attempt an overtake was due to the fact Max got "stuck" behind the Diva and the DRS advantage and the long straigth Ricc had. Remember Max was multiple seconds ahead during the first part of the race.

As been said by again, not me, but Helmut Marko. Team principle of RB Racing.

Speaking of team orders; maybe, they've should've told Ricc. not trying to pass and let Max focus his energy (and tyres) on trying to get passed the little Diva.

Where did Marko state that? I’ve seen the comments that it was part Ricci, part Maxine, and part racing incident, but I haven’t seen him blame Ricci 100%. I’ve seen lots stating Maxine had lost battery power most of the race and was slower, and that Ricci was required to fight past as the team won’t issue team orders.........

I put it 100% RB management fault and then 100% FIA fault for not realising Max is mad

Max finishing more than 20 secs. ahead of Ricc. today, while Ricc. claimed he was faster than Max.

Christian Horner and Helmut Marko are probably both stupid....

Although logic tells me that's not quite reality.

The wait is for WC winning car.

With Max tapping into Stroll, who do we blame on that one? I'm not going to say Max had a great race, he basically kept his position while Kimi had trouble and Vettel had a bad pit stop, plus Max hit another driver and still ended on the podium!

Huh. Does Christian Horner know that he's been demoted and replaced by Marko? Funny, Horner still seems to have the impression that he is still Team Principal.

You know, if you're going to turn off the coverage, then maybe you should trust the people who actually watch to relate the race reports! Both Horner and Ricciardo himself mentioned his safety car spin in the post race coverage. If you're not going to bother listening, there's a lot you won't hear! Given that Ricciardo set the fastest lap several times in the latter stage of the race, not Max, it's safe to say that Ricciardo was actually the quicker driver today, but was done in by track position and the spin.
