The Max Verstapen is out of control thread.

That freaking new broadcast where they so often neglect to show stuff...

On the note of the fastest lap, I think Max had to optimize his laps with a wounded car against Vettel coming into striking distance. Ricci could take a lap off, charge batteries, bring everything to a point and then launch an excellent lap, then go into a lap of recovery again. I don't say he did that, I'd need to check the consistency of his lap times. But Max was definitely limping anyways...

 

Got to give it to the kid today, he almost managed to keep his nose clean, and was caught out by stroller hitting the pause button on his Playstation controller instead of x for accelerate. Ricci did seem faster overall lap time wise, but spinning at VSC speeds doesn’t exactly say he’s awesome either, but everyone makes a mistake (ferrari strategists could write a ****ing book). Had Ricci been allowed past max at the start of the race when he did seem to be being held up, maybe he’d have inherited third, but I don’t think he’d have done any more than Max did. Remember, overtaking was so tough even the merc on its bespoke tyres and with party mode reengaged couldn’t pass max on track, so bottles was safe from attack and ferrari beat Vettel
