The new supercar, named McLaren W1, will be revealed at 13:00 BST on Sunday, 6 October 2024. The W1 name celebrates McLaren’s World Championship mindset, with the public reveal date marking the 50th anniversary of McLaren winning its first Formula 1 Constructors’ World Championship, and Emerson Fittipaldi winning the 1974 World Drivers’ Championship with McLaren. For a clean sheet design, NOT impressed. ......... McLaren, Lamborghini and Ferrari (SF90 lights) smashed together.
It's definitely not as sleek as the P1, and it seems like they wanted to increase the cabin space because the roofline sits very high, and the windshield is awkwardly angled. I was expecting more of a Valkyrie-type design with P1 elements, but instead, it looks like a 750 replacement. I'm sure, in the right spec and in real life, it might look alright.
It looks more like a next gen regular release car. Not a wild, limited edition hypercar. The front looks like the SF90. The rear looks bad. Disappointed.
Yikes. They just refuse to build an attractive car. Did they hire mansorry as their in house designer….
