Just want to thank the organizers of the event. A great array of very exciting cars. The rally thru the hills of Ct was perfect. Awesome roads!!! In fact, I hope to duplicate it again as the leaves fall. Thanks for working so hard to make this event special. Hopefully a bunch of money was raised for the Make a Wish Foundation. - Ron Frohock
As Ron said, thanks for a great event. An even bigger thanks to Joe for letting me tag along, Frank for giving me a spirited ride home, and Lane for organizing and always making me feel welcome. Joe and Dean have officially turned me into a TR guy. After sitting in Dean's 328, I quickly realized that it was not for me. Joe's TR is comfortable, and has a surprisingly nice ride quality. This was the fourth best day of my entire life, and I have all of you to thank. (After my two kids being born. I had to throw my wedding day in there to butter up the wife a little, hence the fourth best) Thanks again! Brendon
Awsome time, beautiful day, great people. All the hard work paid off! Some pics of the day..... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
A hugh thanks to Manolis and everyone else involved, I had a blast today, the roads were a perfect combination of straightaways and curves, my car handled them with ease.. Ron , so that was you bringing up the rear in my group J ? My only complaint for the day, the music/band at the Hard Rock was wayyyyy to damn loud, couldn't have a conversation with my friends, almost gave us headaches. Totally ruined to me the purpose of being able to sit down and talk cars with fellow entusiast. If there is a band next year, I'll skip the lunch and go over to the buffet.
It was a great event. The weather was very nice, and their was a very nice selection of cars. I agree that the band was WAY too loud. It wouldn't be bad to have some back ground music, but you could not hear across the table.
The idea of the band was great, but I totally agree, the volume was a bit high for a social gathering.
for a while I was following a pair of Vipers, then, as luck would have it , a Testarossa jumped in front of me...... Ahhhhhh Testarossa!!! Great drive. Very well done. By the way, towards the end of the drive, a black E55 Mercedes followed us with a camera srapped to its hood. I sure would like to get my hands on that footage! Especially when that crazy fool jumped out in front of my car yelling SLOW DOWN!!! Seriously, we were not even going fast at the time. We just sounded it... - Ron Frohock
Ron...Final exact tally not yet in but I know its over $10,000. Everyone...Thanks for your kind words and thanks for making the day special for our Make-A-Wish friend. Lane
That was a friend I invited...that car has over 600hp and quite the fast 4dr family sedan He told me about the "crazy fool" and too hopes to see the footage... Camera was mounted to his car by a AV (audio visual) person at the event, it was not his..... Wow $10,000.00 thats great news as I thought the goal was $8500.... looks like someone will be getting a wish made. To me the best thing about the day was that so many people had a good time, shared a common interest being cars and managed to raise a nice nugget that went to a good cause.... Lane appreciate you leading the charge regards to the Rally and those that took the time to be rally leaders...much appreciated....
Lane, Great job on picking the right roads and supporting the event. I hope to get involved next year, if I am not traveling. Plus 10K$ is a great number. Good for you and the team. Next year I will donate Bose products for the auction. Remember to hit me up early.... - Ron
I'm hearing that Lane once again knocked it out of the park! Good job guys! If the worst complaint was a loud band, that's a perfect event! lol When I heard that total I was so impressed! Sorry I couldn't make it. I have to say though that this just makes me look forward to next year so much more.
Same guy as last year in front of the same house. He is becoming his own part of the cruise, lol. He would stop each car by standing in front of it last year and then he would yell at the driver. I told my group about him before we took off. We may want to bypass that road next year, lol. --Mike
