    Spec:

    RHD 1995 355 Berlinetta
    Verde Silverstone w/ Tan Interior
    Carbon Sport Seats
    Pre-airbag steering wheel
    6,000 mi

This is probably a 1 of 1. Verde certainly isn’t my jam, but this car pulls everything off to make a very unique 355 color combination along with ultra rare 355 goodies.

Who barn-finds an ultra rare spec 355? I could understand a barn-find Giallo F1 Spider, but THIS?? They saved this car from dirt and no one took notice of the restoration process?? I’m disgusted.

Had a nice chat with the CEO of Alcala. Lower rear wasn’t painted in black upon request by owner. Everything done to the car is mostly the way the owner envisioned. I’ve also seen slotted rear bumpers on 95 cars, but not exactly sure what month the changeover was made from non-slotted.

Parts # progression does show that some 2.7 car were fitted with the same bumper as the 5.2 cars but not clear when.

Almost bought a verde green spider but the car turned out to be crap. Interestingly, the car eventually ended up on ebay where it sold in the mid $30ks as I recall.

I wish I had pictures of my car on its roof when it spun out exiting The Downhill at Lime Rock Park in 1996. It was a mess. The roof was caved in, the windshield was broken, the A-pillars were bent, etc.

But like all race-damaged Challenge cars, it was sent to a Factory-authorized coach repair facility for repairs in time for its next race. Today the car is straighter than when it left the Factory. All that remains is a driver's side view mirror that droops a bit...

With all the other repairs it had during its racing career, my car is five shades of yellow. Maybe six. :D

Don't be, what a gorgeous car and precision restoration, it takes time, search engines will pick it up but social media takes a lot of work to promote, it's no longer build it and they will come. Man, did I say what a pretty car!!!!

Nice restoration. The tool kit is incorrect for a 1995 though. Needs the tall type.

I think that's like the bumper. Saw several 95s that way when I was looking for my car.

Not a single 95 delivered new to Australia had a bumper without the slots not even early dual fuel pump cars.

here is what I was talking about with part #s. Non US and US cars had bumpers superseded, eventually to the 5.2 part. Looks like Canada 2.7 and 5.2 cars were always the same. South Africa 2.7 switched at some point as well. So if this is accurate looks like some 2.7 cars had the slotted bumper. (From Maranello Classics)

Is SA South Africa or South America?

I have a plausible explanation for all of this :). When the F355 first launched for public viewing in January 1994 at the Ferrari Museum, the 2 cars presented were obviously Euro-spec and had slotted rear bumpers. Which means, this is how Ferrari intended the 355 to look. Ironically, the lower trim was still in body color (not painted in black). By the time production rolled around, it was indeed slotted and painted black.

Keep in mind U.S rear bumpers are externally (and internally) different from Euro-spec. U,S has less wide license plate area and has no side reflectors. This means Ferrari had to build new molds (with a different design) to accommodate U.S market. Somewhere along the line, either someone forgot to slot them OR Ferrari later decided the U.S bumpers should be slotted as well. U.S non-slotted should be rarest of the variations. I’ve got 2 of them :).

In short, you’ll never see a non-slotted Euro rear bumper, so the Macau Verde 355 is correct ;).
