I remember a song from the 1980's "Neue Deutsche Welle" by a band called Ideal...."Sex in der Wüste"! ...desolate....the desert....it all makes sense! Cheers, MARK
Oh yes, what a beautiful reminder from a wonderful day we have had. Thanks for posting this pic! It was a sunny & funny day....but sadly too short. Next time - more time - more beers
I love Weiss Bier: I really love Schneider Weissen (don't know if I write it good...but it tastes great), from München!
I drink ANY weissbier, but preferably with "hefe" (yeast)! I doubt whether I will find a good selection in the UK Cheers, MARK
More from that good weekend last year @ton - you will notice that the pictures were taken just before the gas strut was fitted! Cheers, MARK Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Bbbbuuuurrrrpppppppppp!! Lager/Pilsner was invented in Bohemia & Moravia, so you all need to go to the Czech Republic to enjoy the REAL thing! Cheers, MARK
Damn!!! What a tragedy - OUCH! Look at the terrible picture towards the end of the page. It reminded me that I need to get a new (and BIGGER) fire extinguisher! I'm glad that I don't have the catalytic converter cr@p on my car. Cheers, MARK

...und sowieso.... budvar is the second oldest pils of the world after pilsner urquell, to my humble opinion it is the best beer of the world! btw: the german/english name is budweiser.
Thank you! Its so good to know somebody like you: Always friendly & knowledgeable!!!! ....ist das mal wieder ein geschleim hier Wolfarossa FORZA FERRARI
Ja, Trevi is right. Budvar is the old name of the city now called Ceske Budejovice, in the south of the Czech Republic, relatively close to the Austrian border. The local beer is called Budvar (or Budweiser in German) and was was originally sold in the USA as "Budweiser". It is in the USA where that beer became rat p*ss. Budvar from CZ is a magnificent, bold beer in comparison. There has been a court battle throughout the last century as to who has the rights to use the term Budweiser. As far as I know, the Czechs have the rights for Europe, and that's why the American dish-water is marketed as "Bud" in Europe and elsewhere. Budweiser comes from Budweis, like Champagne comes from Champagne and Bordeaux wine comes from Bordeaux. I hope that the EU supports this when the Czech Republic joins in May this year! http://www.budvar.cz/flash/index_en.html Pilsner Urquell (locally called Plzensky Prazdroj in the Czech Republic) was the first Lager/Pilsner in the world. Unique beer with sharp Saaz hops aftertaste. http://www.prazdroj.cz/eng/ http://www.pilsner-urquell.com/ Unfortunately it is now owned by South African Breweries (who also own and produce the USA's "Miller" p*ss-water) and they are working to make Urquell their flagship international brand. Cheers, MARK
