    Hi Marc,
congrats with passing your car trouhgt MOT.
In Holland we have "APK" each year. My car is at FerrariService now and I heard this morning there are a lot of things "wrong" and it is gonna cost me around 5K euros.........................................as I read a few replies back, there are Fcar drivers and there are Fcar owners just because they can afford it because they have a lot of money.
I am a fanatic driver, with normal income and a family so 5k is alot of money for me.
But hey, it is a hobby. (my wife wasn't that easy this afternoon when I told her). Do know how all the parts are called in englisch , but I have to invest this money in the engine, If I just drive it, I do not have a engine anymore in one year. The car will be ready in about 3 weeks. ForzeService makes always pictures of the cars when they are in maintanance, I will post them later.

    Hi Roel,

5K is damn f*** big money!!!!
    What the hell happened?????
I`m very sad and my feelings are with you. Yes, I`m also used in high bills ( 5.5K for a big inspection with the 308. 11K for the testa) and still wondering what I`m doing there. But yes, its my love & passion! I have no more expensive hobbys beside my Ferrari and also a family and a normal income.
Hope you are soon back on the road and you survice the bill;)

    Thanks Wolfgang.

Roel, sorry to hear that... One of the less attractive sides of being a Ferrari owner :(. That's exactly the reason why I personally should better wait a little longer before I actually buy one. Like I posted here before, although the purchase and normal maintenance shouldn't be a problem for me, I just can't cover large unexpected Ferrari-bills yet in combination with my other costs :(
Wish you all the best and think about the nice sunny days when you can drive your car, after it's service is done...

    Greets, Alex.

    Thanks Wolfgang & Alex,

Yes, I think that's the other side of driving a Ferrari.
But when I am driving my "little beast" again over 3 weeks I hope I will quickly forget these bills :)

I'm sure you will. Keep looking forward to sunnier days and speed away from those bills at 245km/u then. Just watch out for speedcamera's in that case :)

Concerning the high bills on Fcar maintenance, i think it's more a nuisance before than after.
If you pick up your Fcar from the garage and you are able to drive again you forget about the disadvantages and you only see the advantages of driving a Fcar
(but offcourse i don't have a Ferrari (yet) so i didn't receive those high bills);)

lol yeah, I know, I just recently discovered this site myself and I'm already addicted too! When it's quiet at work, I often take a quick look at new messages and intresting threads here. And when I've got nothing to do at home, I'm here too :) It's always fun to talk about a passion.
BTW Do you drive your Alfa GTV often?

And i'm going to restore it properly, ( and put some Webers in:))

My passion has always been Ferrari
(when i was 7 i got my first 1/18 and it was a 288 GTO) and since then (or even before) i'm car crazy

I share your passion on 355, ( for me a black/tan GTS please)

But frankly spoken, i'm more into the old ones, unfortunately the ones who cost the most.
I love the 365 GTS 4 (Thank you Miami vice;))

can you tell me approximatly how much it costs to rent one, a 355 i mean

My first Ferrari was a red F40 :D
I like the F355 GTS in black/black or Azurro/black the most (above the Spider and the Berlinetta in that order). The GTS is the best of both worlds IMO. Mmm, a silver/black one would be nice too :)

Rental-prices can be seen here: www.ferrarirent.be, they have various nice cars... Of course fuel consumption and speeding tickets not included :).

    :) Goodnight...
