What do you think about Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler? My favourite tracks are "Sultans of Swing", "Brothers in Arms" and "Money for Nothing".
Oh yes, he is a real master!!! Do you know, that Mark Knopfler is playing his guitar without a plectrum? Just with his fingers! Amazing and you can`t play this songs with a plectrum, you need all 5 fingers from the right hand. I have tried to play "sultans of swing" many times and give up on it Thats why there are NO Dire Straits cover-bands Tooo strange to play!
Yeah, I know. Really amazing to see him play. Unfortanately I've never seen them live, only in videoclips.
I've seen Dick Dale several times and indeed they play loud but i don't think he's doing drugs though
Sorry, sorry, sorry that was the wrong way from me to express something! My fault and appologize!!!! NO drugs with Mr. Dick Dale!!!! What I have wanted to say was: His sound & playing style is close to surf-rock, but with some wrong notes, playing faults (you can`t hear it `cause he plays so damn loud) and he looks always a bit out of control Thats why I have compressed it with drugs, sorry.
I remember now, that the videoclip for "Walk of Life" was very funny I don't like J. Cash and Dale that much...
