The factory nav unit sucks. You are probably best off buying an iPhone and getting the TomTom app for $99. It will outperform ANY factory nav system, and you can use it any car, on foot, or whenever you travel to any other city. It will even work in Europe and Australia if you add the appropriate maps.

I was unaware of the iPhone TomTom app. Thank you for pointing it out.

Does it work as well on the iPhone as it would on an actual TomTom sat nav?

Not sure why you wouldn't have checked to see if it was in the car when you looked it over before you bought it? Seems that is something I always do, ie; check tires, wheels, radio, lights, all electronic gizmos etc. to see if everything works and is in expectable condition.

I asked and the salesguy glossed over the Nav assuring me that it was very easy to use and I would be able to figure it out etc... In fact I made a point to ask SEVERAL TIMES regarding the nav and each time I just got assurances. In hindsight I should have insisted, but who would have thought that this would happen, seriously?

Got a call from Scottsdale Bentley today, and they will be sending me a check for $1800, which is a about $800 less than I was hoping (the price of the initial GPS option was $2600). I figure its probably not worth fighting over this so Im going to let it slide. I'm not the happiest but I suppose it could have been worse.

I'd be pretty happy with an $1800 check when I can get a GPS for $199 at Best Buy if it is really necessary....

Seriously, you should be happy with the outcome.... they have been very giving to you on TWO cars now....

Let it slide?! You got a great deal. Sure, if it were a new car they would have to sell it to you for $2600 less, but it's a 2006.
