Wow a007apl, you sure know how to get the word out! http://www.*********.com/showthread.php?p=60725 http://www.motorworld.net/forum/showthread.php?p=867981#post867981 http://www.theautounion.net/index.php?topic=5180.0
Sounds like a very dumb idea. Who would want the bottom of the line model in that price bracket of car?? If it were an SL version, that would be a different story. What's next, a V-8 Murcielago ?
Well, Audi have done crazier things... ...kidding! I don't get all of the special edition Gallardos, that's all. Lambo's innovation just isn't there for me. _J
Since April 2008, this was so predictable...560-4 was meaning that one day or another it will be 560-2 or whatsoever...550-2 Mr. Winkhelman is a nice liar... last year when I told him that he is missing quiet a bench of real Lambo enthusiast that just wondered a 2WD Lambo, he answered me that the new Lambo era is 4WD in order to allow everybody to drive them safely ! Thanks to crisis...it has made him to change his mind...in order to recover missing turnover... Last March, I sold my 560-4...I was secretly hoping to buy later a modern Lambo 2WD... YES I can now !!! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
8 colours you say.... they betta have VERDE on that list...they havent offered a special edition lambo in that color since the Gcar SE...BOUT TIME!!!
Um, it's not really a bottom of the line model, it's just sporting 10 less power & a drivetrain enthusiasts have been wanting for years. The RWD portion of the car is going to cause it to sell very well. Besides, this was done nearly 20 years ago with the Diablo with its model lineup & I highly doubt anyone was going to criticize those beasts.
The "RWD portion of the car...." is also going to be quite a handful with the non-experienced drivers (I smell lawsuits ). Initial gossip also is: that the manual transmission is the equipment that comes with this model; which I find strange because 95% of their buyers don't order manual transmissions ?? So how does this help the sales picture ?
I dot get the point of having yet ANOTHER special edition Gallardo when the company could have easily come out with a new model. If RWD was such a big deal, why didn't they give it to the Superleggera or LP560-4? All this is, is a RWD Gallardo with a bit more power. I just don't get it... What the hell is the big significance? Buy a GT2 or a pre-owned 430. _J
