Not particularly keen on the new rim design but the rest of the car looks great - tinted windows are a nice touch. Looks like you also went for the HS pack - let us know how the new car stacks up against your old one.
Ferrari has really gotten their money's worth out of the molds and dies used to make the car. 4-5 years apart and not one body change at all. No changes to the tail lights, lower panels, exterior trims... nothing! Other than the wheels you could flip the pictures and I wouldn't know the difference. I know they did modify the drivetrain but why not yearly or bi-yearly freshen ups to the visual aspects to help differ the model years? Maybe a new hood or boot cover. How about the classic double lights in the back. Something. It might help sell more cars. OP - you have a couple of beautiful cars but I am looking forward to the new one.
Ferrari dont tend to do facelifts because they make a newer model quicker than other manufacturers. They are selling plenty of new cars with long wait lists, so why would they spend more money in R+R and new moulds etc for biannual facelift etc? not cost effective I would say. I am not a car manufacturer or in the industry, but that is my best guess. Sunny
Actually, most high end carmakers do not like to "freshen up" too frequently and that's also a good thing for their customers. Imagine having just bought a new car model that only recently had all the bugs sorted out after 2 years in the market and the next month a "freshened up" model comes out and makes yours look 2 years old?? Imagine what happens after another 3 years. Higher end cars are much more successful in the market when they look fresh for at least 6 or 7 years. You'll find out once you start owning and appreciating such cars for what they are, rather than as fashion items. German cars are the most conservative in this regard. BTW, Ferrari did not change the California's drive train. They lightened the body, remapped the engine, changed the exhaust headers, re-tuned the suspension and exhaust valve programming as well as added some minor cosmetic options.
great looking car similiar to my color combo I also have the same wheels love the sport package best of luck
The Cali 30 does handle a little quicker in sport mode but it does take away a bit from the ride comfort, though for me it is not an issue as IMO a sports car supposed to be just that. It feels a bit more put together when turning in at some speed than the 2010 but overall they are not too far apart. I of course enjoy the 30 more but i has only been a day or so. Nothing that can be done in regards to the carpets. Talked to the salesperson and went over our email correspondence and he showed me the changes he marked after our phone conversations as he understood them. Though this is not a big issue and I am enjoying the car just as much, I do believe that with the CF tunnel the black carpet would have played off a lot better.
I do like the new wheels a lot, since they have not made any exterior changes, they give the car an updated look. I am thinking that black or silver calipers would work better with the silver Speciale Handling Package.
Ross- She looks great and the tan carpets fit in very well. I like the wheels and the red calipers are a nice touch, especially with that open wheel design. You did well.
I think the carpets look great, especially with the black central console. Cool wheels. Beautiful spec. Enjoy her to the fullest!
May I recommend some custom black mats. These are mine. BTW beautiful Cali. Image Unavailable, Please Login
