Zonda successor Some new sketches and info on the new Zonda R. The Zonda R is made for track days, just like the Ferrari FXX. Not to be mixed though with the zonda clubsport version, since the CS has less horsepower. Longer front lip and rear diffusor, the car is now a little bit longer from 4.385 mm to 4.774 mm. The wheel base is also 5 centimeters longer. The engine is rumored to be a CLK-GTR based V12 sporting a astonishing 750hp. The engine is of a dry sump model which is placed low in the engine compartment. 750hp and 711 NM of torque seems good enough when the weight of the car has been lowered and refined. Ta ta. Yes. But there are some things you don't know. For instance, how many of them will be built. And which new features will have. And, ah, dear swedish friend... This is not the Zonda successor... That's another story. Completely different, believe me.
When will we see real pictures instead of these sketches? Does anyone know of how official these are (other than the one not based on the Zonda)? Those all look like photoshop, which may or may not be official. Thanks Peter Hatch
I guess I'm the only one who doesnt like it. I do like the front though. Reminds me of the Maserati MCC.
It's still just sketches. I don't think anyone is chained to any part of this conceptual design. Things change. Peter Hatch
Well since these will be track only, I can not see any reason why these could not be sold to US owners. Peter Hatch
Infact the first customer, and the one who gave this idea to Pagani, is an US collector. It's not hard to guess who's this man... BTW only 7 will be made. Already sold.
There is another customer who should get one. A swiss collector who owns TWO Roadster F and one Zonda S. Roadster F are #1 and #5 of 25: last one is a car i know VERY WELL............. And ah... He also has an Enzo, an MC12, a Carrera GT, an FXX, about to get the MC12 V.C. and only God knows what else.
