I like this evolution from Cali T better than the F12B to 812 evolution.
Ok the old California was named so, to acknowledge the many convertible lovers in that state. They bought lots of convertibles when Ferrari was a harder 'sell' back then. Image Unavailable, Please Login
+1 600HP, a nice aggressive look and a folding hardtop, whats not to like? Ferrari will sell a bunch of these....easily. Love the name too..........
It's just a name and the most clever or adequate ones are already used! Face it, the marketers struggle to find new ones which please everyone... I guess Portofino sounds evocative of the Italian riviera for most of the planet, so there you go. Better than LaFerrari or Enzo Ferrari, for sure.
It looks good to me granted if they used the California's headlights but with it more round like the ones on the great 275 cars that will make it perfect. Right now it looks good, but the headlights being look like missing makes it slightly off to me.
Enzo is significant you cannot say that I mean yes there is better names. The founder name however is more than significant to deserve recognition.
The 812 looks are growing on me. Personally in my opinion it's a step a head for the brand and a good successor of the f12 and yes looks wise.
Nice car.. even after I just got and paid for my CalitTHS I would consider this at some point after an 812 or 488 GTO whatever the Ferrari gods give me.
My girlfriend/partner wants one now. The only thing saving me is lack of garage space....I like the car too...by the way.
I like it.Never really got the styling changes to original Cali which I thought looked better than Cali T.(realise I am in the minority). Keeping format and engine the same mean there are limited changes they can make but I think it is a good job well done.
I think they should go for more of a beauty focus on the entry level car. I don't know which is the least tracked Ferrari, but I assume the California is near the top, so it doesn't need a be a world beater. That being said, it looks so much more aggressive, but just wish they reserve that aggressiveness for the other models.
A very nice evolution! The King is dead. Long live the King! Ferrari has given all the proper improvements which the old model needed. I think going forward, the front mid smaller engine 2+2 hardtop convertible, now has a very bright and long future ahead. Anyone have a picture of the rear end?
This car is a home run. Looks great ..,..I think it is a cleaner design then the 812. I think I will get one. I saw the 812 for the first time in person at Pebble beach last week and still cant warm up to it .. but I love this new Portofino . ..now lets just drop the 812 engine in it...
Ferrari s actual design is becoming so poor...this car is a kind of pizza !!! when Aston Martin makes beautiful cars, Ferrari is so low, so down...it s really frightened...
I really like the design, much more aggressive. I was hoping for some revolutionary changes like removing back seats and have only two seats like in Mercedes SL. I hope it will sounds atelest as good as 488, Mclaren 720S proved that turbo engine can sounds great.
30 years ago Lamborghini a Portofino which could easily figure in the gallery of the ugliest cars ever made. This time however the beautiful port of Portofino has been honored with and equally pretty Ferrari carrying the same name. Image Unavailable, Please Login
