I searched and found a thread about the 550 Barchetta here in the showroom; it hadn't been updated since 2004 and most of the pictures don't even load anymore.
    And that's a damn shame!! ;)
This car caught my attention the first time I saw a picture of it, and still does. Such a good looking machine!!
So, let's get a new thread going for it and load it with great photos.
Of course, I need to re-subscribe, so for now I'll be starting off with a link to some great pictures posted recently (I also host parties and don't buy beer, just for the record ;) )

Definitely one of my favorites! And don't shoot me, but I think it's better looking than the 575 SA. I am a fan of the roll hoops.

same here. 575 SA is unique; 550 Barchetta is beautiful.

Strange thing is when the 550 Barchetta came out I didnt like it but over time the shape has just grown on me and yes I think it does look much better than the SA.

I did not like the Barchetta when I first saw pics of it. However that all changed when I was down in Surfers Paradise and heard this glorious noice a few blocks away, then 20sec later a gorgeous red Barchetta drove by and it was love at first sight!

It simply blew the Gallardo I'd seen 30mins earlier out of the water!

Always wondered: Does the 550 Barchetta have any sort of top? It looks like those roll bars would get in the way...

Yes, it does, but it's one of the ugliest tops ever seen!

Beside the bumps for the roll hoops I really like the lines with the soft-top on. A hardtop with those lines would have looked fantastic.

Agreed, it has "aged" well over time. Though not a 12 cyl, GT or convertible, I think the CS will also become a cult classic.

Unfortunately I have to disagree. The way the top sits and attaches it just looks like a last minute addition that they scrambled to get together. It just looks too cheaply made. I love the look of the car, but that top ... Leaves something to be desired.

Just to be clear, this is NOT the factory soft-top. This is an after-market top.

Unfortunately, the factory version is just awful. We've never put it on once.

The factory top is so complicated if you got caught in the run it would likely have stopped raining by the time the roof had been put on the car.
