I would love to see enzo style rear lights.I think horsepower gain is more likely to be in the 480 range.
Have you seen these pics? http://speed.*************/boardpics/2004-4-28/2312656-gallardoa.jpg http://speed.*************/boardpics/2004-4-28/2312656-gallardob.jpg http://speed.*************/boardpics/2004-4-28/2312649-gallardoa.jpg http://speed.*************/boardpics/2004-4-28/2312649-gallardob.jpg http://speed.*************/boardpics/2004-4-28/2312649-gallardoc.jpg http://speed.*************/boardpics/2004-4-28/2312656-gallardoc.jpg http://speed.*************/boardpics/2004-4-28/2312659-gallardoa.jpg
This week there will be new pictures of the 360 replacement in the english mag Autoexpress. My question is of somebody got this mag and/or the pictures in it are they the same as in this thread. (4 small ones). Many thanks for some reaction.
Ok, from seeing some photos posted on this board I am begining to notice something about the 420/428/430/470. It looks REALLY wide in the rear...looks to me that each rear fender is almost 3" wider than the 360. See this pic... http://speed.*************/boardpic...6-gallardoa.jpg Now, tell me if I am crazy, but doesnt that look a fair bit wider than the 360? I think that the base 420 will be putting down a lot more power than even the CS, if it needs tires wide enough to force a flared fender, I guess about 500 a la Gallardo. Either that and Im insane and the wider rear is because of the new Maser/Enzo derived engine, who knows. Any guesses?
It's clearly going to have enzo-like tail lights, and a much smaller butt than in the test photos. Cool. Not much different from the 360 it seems.
"I wonder what kinda price increase the new 430 would carry." I think there will be another 5% increase on the 360 because of the Euro. Then the 430 or whatever will probably be 5% higher than that.
Yes it is, the one who did already admitted it. Here's another prototype: http://www.thecarconnection.com/images/gallery/8053_image.jpg
Thanks for the link Rossi. Here's the pic. This Hans guy has been taking spy shots for years.Pretty amazing how gets every where he needs to. Image Unavailable, Please Login
On these test mules, the roof lines (among others) are identical to the 360. Hopefully that is only for test purposes & camo. It would be a shame for the 360 successor to look so similar.
After all that I've heard, the new model will be an evolution of the 360. So it seems just logical, that they share the same basic shape as roof or engine and boot lid for example. I think we will see pretty much the same strategy as from 348 to 355.
My guess is that we are going to see a front end much more similar to the Enzo that the previous yellow photoshop photo, and the blurry photo taken on the camera. (I think we we are not going to see the large horizontal front bumper piece that makes the "smile" of these photos. If you look at Hans's photo you can see the front vents much in the shape of the enzo. If you go back to the series of recent color spy photos you will see the outline of the lights (like the enzo) and creases in the hood, similar to the enzo that make more of a point towards and enzo (F1 like nose. Thats my prediction, we are going to see the enire front open, with an enzo like nose with the side vents formed mearly by "strut like" slanted deviders like on the enzo. Hope I'm right because this would make for a much more aggresive look (something the 360 needs- the current model is far from perfect in my opinion, much too bland). I'm hoping.
Correct. I guess it will most likely be a 348 to 355 style conversion with some modern touches. A bit of history repeating (the 328 looked a lot like the 308 too, with better performance and cosmetics to match the other models at that time, the same with the F355). I already said this before! So I'm almost sure the new car will have the basics from the 360 Modena (as proven by the pic now) with better performance and some cosmetic upgrades to match the Enzo (nose, rear lights,...). That's not a bad thing! I think it will be a great car that I'll like better than the 360 Modena. Looking forward to what the real thing will look like in the end!
So it should be a possibility that the car will be previewed a the Racing days Nürburgring as they did with the 360 Spider, 550 Barchetta, Enzo... DB
Wow!!! They look real too me!!! Those are definately taken in Maranello and Fiorano! Nice!!! Thanks for posting this link!
I've already posted a link to these pics earlier in this thread. Have a close look at the red car, taken from the side: the whole wheel arch, bumber and front seems to be put over the real front. So I guess the front shows as much heavy camouflage as the back.
