That rather depends how much less than 20s! The performance figures I obtained are comprable to that of a Porsche Carrera GT. The Enzo for sure will be faster, but not much faster.
dont you guys find it looks too futuristic, like it would be perfect for a futuristic hollywood movie...just my 2cents...
To guys who already put an order, how much will the car cost ? What is the price raise compared to the 575 ?
No one knows any real #s yet,of course. It is expected to be priced in the same price range as the 612 or even slightly lower. If it's true, with the performance and luxury matching the CGT and SLR,the car would be a relative bargain of the year.
The dealer in Geneva told me that the expected price for the Maranello replacement is around 330,000CHF. This is around $260k. On the other hand, the 612 costs 320,000CHF. And this is around $249k. Based on that, I think both cars, 612 and new Maranello, will be very close in terms of pricing. And just as a personal question, how much is the F430 in the States? The F430 F1 costs 230,000CHF base price in Switzerland, which is around $176k.
Our fellow F-chatter Roel has posted some pics that some of us at this thread will be very happy to see. ...I know I was. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=80134

Anyone know when they are supposed to have the real car shown to dealers and special people (not that I count)? Before or after the official announcement? My guess is after, as per 575SA, no? --Dan
Dealers already saw the car. At least the one in Geneva, Switzerland, did. The car will not be shown to special people before the Geneva Car Show. That's why Ferrari's CEO is coming personally to introduce the car.
Yum, I'm loving those side vents behind the front wheels. With each new set of pics she is gradually coming into focus and looking better and better. Edit- also note the 430 style mirrors. I wonder if they will be embossed as well? TR? F600? I'm noticing hood vents, and it would appear the rear window does not follow sail planes of the camo, I wonder if there will be prononced trunk notch-back or flying buttresses? Nice big diffuser, which is an advance from the 550/575 which didn't have anything.
Yeah, those wheels do look cool. The wrapping is coming off the front left, and they appear to be split spoke stars, would be cool if they keep 'em or a similar design. One of the things I noticed with these pics was the taillight configuration. It could be a trick, but notice that currently they are not "even", but the central ones are set off a bit higher--much like the picture of that yellow model we were discussing a little while back. Hmm...
The side air vents, the overall shape... The car looks like a modern 250GTO to me. Seems logical after the 550/575, a modern mix between a 275 and a Daytona. The wheels are ugly as usual. Will they leave those five spokes' one day ?
My source is the owner of the dealership himself. And as I already mentioned, he said that the front of the car looks like a blend between an SLR and an Enzo. March is a couple of months away. If the car doesn't look like what he said, then he lied. And I don't see a reason why he would lie. After all, Ferrari SpA love all the dealers in Switzerland. They have the highest per capita sales in the world and I wouldn't be surprised if they were given the opportunity to see the car before most dealers.
No no, I didn't mean you called me a lier. I am just saying that the Geneva dealer would be a lier if the car that will be presented in Geneva doesn't look the same way he described. But to be quite honest, that happened a lot that Ferrari give rare opportunities to special dealers. They did the same thing with the Modena before it came out.
I showed him the pics by Hans G. Lehmann and he told me the pictures of the final car that he has are nothing like it. I asked him if I could get a quick look and he was basically I'm not even supposed to tell you I have the final pics but I can confirm that it doesn't look like the pictures you're showing me. When he said that it confused me to no end cause Hans G. Lehmann's pictures looked like the Real Mcoy to me (I know its camoed but you start to see a bit of the car). If he's telling me the truth what car is it then???? Anyways my conversation with him confirms nasharty's point that the dealers already have information packs on how the car looks, the specifications and all. However he told me he doesn't have A) The Price (He speculated that it might start at USD 265k) and B) The Options List. However he told me he might have the information in 2 to 3 months. Thought I'd share the Info.
The 550-like side air vents look like decoys. I believe the side vents will be up high in the front fenders. The car is pretty much undisguised in the middle (doors and rocker panel). The door, in fact, is exactly like door in the picture from SupercarFreak. It flares out a bit at the bottom to match the rocker panels. The wheels are likely the production wheels seen on a couple of test mules. These are star patterns with the spokes hollowed out. In the latest pictures the centers of the spokes have been taped-over to look like solid spokes. The only thing I can't figure out is the obvious step at the rear edge of the roof where it meets the rear window. Other prototypes seem to have a smoother transition. I'm wondering if they're not going to have a "fast-back" coupe as well as a convertible model. I see that Ferrari have a new patent (not the Fioravanti patent on the SuperAmerica) for a rigid top that folds into the back of the car. In any case, from what we've seen, this car will look amazing. The front is still disguised, but I'm sure it will be very sleek and aggressive, with practically no overhang. I love the way it looks too. I am so excited about this car. Everyday I do searches on the web hoping to find new pictures or information that shows or tells me something new. I know it is all just rumors and speculation but one thing is for sure - the 600 Imola(or whatever it is going to be called) is going to be an incredibly fast car.
