    Hopefully it will be a "slightly detuned" Enzo engine.. at least 600 hp :)

    I've heard that rumor flying around too, not a bad name. I just hope it doesnt look like a aerodynamic penis car with that new front-mid engine design.

    Werner told me to expect a Barchetta of the current 575, maybe a real convertible this time

    Replacement probably for 2006

    I agree. 420/430 to be introduced in Spring of 2005. 575M replacement to be introduced in Spring of 2006.

    Sadly, all those Chevron commercials seem to have had unintended consequences...

    Fuel filler in front of rear wheel;
    Door sculpture line does not line up with front fender sculpture line;
    Front apron is lower.
    Other 600 Imola thread had side views demonstrating shorter wheelbase as well.

    As always, factory covers new car with sheetmetal handy.

    Chaa, it's the Maranello replacement, too early to tell what it'll look like, only layout and size. Kind of like the old looooong wheelbase 550 used for the 612 early protos, search archives for pic.

    I know the finished product will be impressive and appreciate the spy photos..but I am laughing as I see the front end of the car which appears to be smiling...

    Would prefer different rear trunk lid design as well.

    As is often the case with pre, pre-production mules, the first things tested are the Engine, Chassis and Transmission. If the prototype is not ready, the testing is often done in the closest body-type vehicle, which in this case is the 612. This often has no implication on what the final aesthetics will look like of the new product. My sense is that Ferrari is in the early stages of testing the 575 replacement, and consequently is focused on the Engine, Chassis and Transmission, with the rest to come.

    Bottom line: I wouldn't draw too many conclusions with the spy photos.

    it is interesting to note that the rear seats from the 612 can be seen in the photos. with the car having a shorter wheel base, one has to ask why.

    Did anyone get the new Road & Track? I just got mine today and on the cover page there is a picture of what is supposed to be the new 550/575 replacer, Looks okay i guess. Im sure i will like it once i see more pictures. It is most likely ganna be called "Ferrari 600 Imola".
