My favorite 599 ever was sold CHEAP recently. I should've bought it pic credit to Broad Arrow Auctions. Not many modern cars have an actual interesting history, and you can drive it without putting miles on!

I have a 2007 599 GTB That is in storage. Usually I start it once a week. I skipped a week and battery is dead. I have a trickle charger but unfortunately there’s no outlet in the storage unit. Can these cars be jumped? I saw a YouTube video doing it but mixed possible emotions. Can anybody help?

 

The consensus seems to be: NOT worth the risk to jump start. Buy a fully charged battery and swap it out.

I saw this beautiful Rosso Mugello (I think!) 599 a few days ago in St Tropez, it did age !

To be clear, the risk comes from jump starting from a running car. No risks at all from using a clean power supply from a booster pack.

Robin- Affirmative and now not just the AGM battery packs are available, but also lithium packs.

 

Yup; I have one. Nice and compact, and the self discharge rate is very low, so you can keep one charged in your car for months.

I still have my old, really old, AGM so may be time to upgrade.

 

Modena Motors of Sausheim had it for sale back in 2011 giving the colour as Rosso Barchetta back then... Both non-metallic dark(er) reds are pretty similar, hence sometimes difficult to tell apart!
