Have fun boys! I'll be in Virginia City. Got my car back from Brian Crall yesterday. Belts changed, finely tuned and ready to roll with you guys the next weekend.
It's not a race. We compete against ourselves and the hill. Sorta like golf. The goal is to finish Sunday with paint and body parts (car and driver) same as they were on Saturday. You guys should consider running next year. I'll post some stills. No video. Tuan has set the bar waaaaay too high. Check out Ian's video from last year on the VC Hillclimb thread. Pretty cool with the telemetry.
It looks like we have another great drive and restaurant set! We will be providing details soon. Like before we need an accurate number of people coming to let the restaurant know. Update the list above if you are bringing a navigator. Thanks fellas!
Kirby will possibly be shotgun in my car if he succumbs to peer pressure again, so you guys have to egg him on and convince him to go. What time are we meeting 7:30am or 8am? JD, nice to see you guys are making the drive. We should get more of the Dubliners out. 1. Al 2. Bob 3. Albert with "possibly" Kirby as navigator and drive historian 4. RSQP 5. Tom 6. Joe 7. Jay 8. Looking forward to Saturday. Joe, let me know if you'd like to ride and/or drive the R8. 1. Al 2. Bob 3. Albert with "possibly" Kirby as navigator and drive historian 4. RSQP 5. Tom 6. Joe 7. Jay 8. J.D. + 1 9. Jeff
The car is in pieces, I wont be on the road for at least 3 weeks. I yanked the carbs off and have them in 100's of pieces at the moment. Have fun everyone!! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Gino... I can't tell you how many times I did that!. I always enjoyed it and loved being able to sync the carbs after a total rebuild. Best of luck and have fun!
I am taking the carbs all the way down and redoing the throttle bearings and restaking the lead plugs. Its a first for me, so I am taking my time with it.

It looks as if Kirby's cutting down on the carbs as well, in reference to his last photoshopped pic! Remember guys PEER PRESSURE!
Extended invites to the two other Ferrari owners in my building (California, 430 Spider.) Hope they'll join us...
Yeah, Ed and I met for the first time on a Marin Drive last year. We got lost but had a good drive / lunch anyway. Now I have GPS. The Dubliners? I've never been associated with a James Joyce novel or a 60's Irish folk band before!
