Thanks also for the great weather Vraiment, I know some wedding planners that could use your weather magic. Thanks Butcher for the kind comments. We joked that there should be a FOG subgroup PinoyFOG since it seems like alot of us with FCars have that FCountry connection. Sorry 4RE that you couldn't make it on the drive, that was another great sacrifice for your FOG brethren! Thanks for all that contributed pics especially Tuan and PinoyP ( the third member of PFOG? ). Thanks SF Motorsports for the coffee and bagels. Thanks Jack for making the very long drive out, sharing your iconic car and stories and leading some of us on the drives. Very impressive driving for a 50+ year old car, I can barely keep up with you!
I spent the week in south africa, with one 430 sighting. Then a few days in the DRC, where i found NO fcars. Ladies and Gentlemen, count your blessings. Geno Image Unavailable, Please Login

Yeah It was 18*F a few days ago, 10* with wind chill. Between the salt, ice, crater sized puddles, cab drivers with bald tires...
That's what makes NYC an adventure, and what makes the cab drivers in that city some of the best drives in the world, from what I remember from when I lived in the Tri-State area. Sure, they don't care where the lane markings are, but if the car's 78" wide, and they've got 79" of space, they're IN THERE!
its summertime here in South Africa, wonderful weather. But I would rather have NYC at its worst vs. the Congo at its best. They dont have the meat packing district here....just sayin.
Watch out for carjackers in the outskirt townships. Did I ever tell you that story? Long story short, don't rent a BMW in Johannesburg to drive out to the country.
i took the Guatrain into Sandton (Safe), staying at the Westcliff (Awesome), then made the mistake of exploring. Not quite as bad as Watts, but pretty damn close. In the DRC, our driver got "pulled over" at a check point, handed over his drivers lisc. and registration, then floored it..... i wouldnt rent a car here if my life depended on it. but you cant beat the weather.
Sounds like you are receiving the same kind of welcome given to Jensen Button in Brazil. I guess South Africa is ready to host a Formula 1 venue. http://en.espnf1.com/f1/motorsport/story/38941.html
someone tried to rob me in Sao Paolo last year, i couldnt understand what he was saying and i wasnt about to just start handing stuff over so he wasnt successful.
Geez, you guys got me hungry for Indian food. If anyone is in the city today for lunch let me know. I will take you to a great Indian restaurant.
I know... Not the current topic, but there are a bunch of you that may appreciate this. I did this rebuild after dropping a valve at the Virginia City Hillclimb. I loved this motor! This was in late 94 and a year after this build, all smog was removed. Some details: High compression over sized Wiseco forged pistons, lightened crank, lighter over sized Ferrea valves/springs, high flow stainless steel exhaust, and the proper jetting had this thing screaming! I do miss it! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
