Last year's FOG Rally gala featured Alexander Rossi, who won last year's Indy 500, the 100th running of the famous race, and the first rookie to win it since 1928. Here is a short vid of his team's race-winning, uh, strategy. He about ran out of fuel on the last lap and coasted across the line at about 130 mph, which sounds fast, but the rest of the pack was doing 200+. For some reason, I want to put Castrol Edge motor oil into my car after watching it....(and it is available in the correct 5w-40 wt.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HzCNMnCgz0&feature=youtu.be
Gotta wonder what oil the several Hondas that blew up this year were running. Obviously not the correct one. 😀 Sent using mental telepathy.
Tell you what. I want to find out what kind of fuel filler components Rossi uses so I can be sure never to put them on any of my cars. He had the same fueling problems in this year's race! As for the engines blowing up, I think we're ok so long as our cars are not powered by Honda engines! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Joe, Motorcycle racers are the closest thing to modern day gladiators there are, applying too much throttle when the bike is still at a lean angle where there is not enough contact patch results in a 'highside' where the bike steps out comes back and re-catches spitting off the rider....after that it's a case of acrobatics for rider and bike....possibly shown here. I can only suspect this is the case irrespective of the apparent 'straight' section of track shown...this is what happened. Gravity eventually wins but photographers make it interesting to see momentarily.... RIP Jerome, btw.
Pristine in London - although the image quality is deceptive. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
