Rick, a car isn't just prestige & future value. The CGT is a stunning driving machine. Just like most of Porsche's offerings - new & old. You can't argue that point. To many of us, poseur value is down the list.

Rumour has it that Porsche will use what the learned from the CGT to produce a new car for 2009 or 2010 that will sell for 1/2 the CGT's price.

Good luck in your search Clax.

And your point is that the CGT will fade into obscurity? Hardly.

Porsche have no real desire to continue to compete in the exclusive cache market. They hop up there once in a while to prove a point & then go about their business as an incredibility savvy & profitable carmaker.

The CGT, like it’s somewhat predecessor the 959, will always be coveted by select driving purists. Will it be enshrined in billionaire’s garages as an ultra cool toy to squirrel away with only occasional outings to concours & upscale eateries? Where every mile driven is like the ticking of a terminal clock reducing its future investment value?

I hope not. Dr. Porsche would not have approved. Nor Enzo or Ferruccio for that matter.

    Ian

And yes, Best of the Season to everybody.

I think every car has a time in place. Just this one might get lost in the shuffle IMO.....this era will go down as Zo6, Enzo, SLR, Saleen7, GT40, Buguatti.. and on and on. Back to my point of the xj220 from Jag.

    Merry Xmas my friend !

From what I hear the murcie cannot be sold because it never did not come out of Canada. Sucks the car looks amazing though.

How do you know it never came out of Canada. I don't understand? Did you own the car before? Or are you just assuming?

Hey Todd, what's up brother? :D

As Roy is saying it's a Canadian car. So I am confused as to what you are stating. If it was a U.S Market car then I understand. But this was a CDN car brought to the US and now being marketed and possibly sold back into Canada. Would there still be a problem?

A Canadian Lambo can't be imported to U.S in first place, so that car is not Canadian.

It was a pretty tempting deal at $158k USD for a Canadian spec Murcie eh? Too bad it was misrepresented. What's the story - did Roy get misled or just "aggressive" in his advertising?

    wrong.

a canadian lambo "can" be imported into the usa...no problem with selling a murci from canada into usa through an r.i.

    lets all cool off....

"misrepresented" is a big word... aggressive ?

everyone is trigger happy today ?

why not ask roy how he got to the conclusion of saying it is a cad car ?
    then, we go from there

Best of the season to you Steve! I'm sure you've seen car dealers who had cars misrepresented to them by sellers :)

Sounded like there was a story here - Roy seems to have a pretty good reputation and was wondering how he got caught out. Thought there were threads already on the topic, I just couldn't find them.

cars sold in canada came with compliance labels that specified canada....if that car is from canada as he claimed, then ,it must have the label mentioning canada.. and the label by-passes the letter..no letter needed if te label says canada

he did not get caught out in anything so far..i never met him, but all i can say is that maybe he has the service booklet showing delivery in canada or maybe he saw canada on the plate..so he says canadian car ! that simple...

as far as dealers/misrepresentation/sellers etc.... there is ALWAYS 2 sides or even 3 to stories... ONE can never come to a conclusion based on what he hears and make judgement. " dont believe what you hear and believe half of what you see" .... with that said, i hope this answers all point... best of season's to you as well..

p.s been hearing some statements out of vancouver through ottawa .. .... know what i am talking about ??

Interesting facts on this Murcie, if there was a Canadian Plate, then would of thought it'd be importable. But this Lambo's not my type of car.

I do believe Roy would of stood behind the car and done the right thing, regardless.

Sorry, don't know anything about an Ottawa connection - but I do think I know what you're referring to. I'll drop you a PM, and we can take this offline.
