Ok so in case someone cares where I'm at, one of two things is going to happen with my spec ... 1. I keep the exact Abetone spec I posted a couple of pages ago with black interior with green accents but change from black wheels to dark grey. This is the spec I've refined over the last year and never thought of changing until recently because my name is up either Jan or Feb depending on how many cars my dealer gets (I'm 3rd in line), and I'm freaking out a little bit about getting this wrong. 2. Change the whole thing from an aggressive looking spec to an elegant one and do Grigio Alloy, silver forged wheels, silver or yellow calipers, and use some of the $ I saved on paint to do exterior cf all around. Similar to this spec but with either silver or yellow calipers (keep in mind I have painted shields so yellow might work better but silver on silver is more elegant) : https://exclusivecarregistry.com/details/ferrari/f12/3628 Image Unavailable, Please Login The reason I'm asking about terra bruciatta is because I struggle with what interior to do with that color. I think maybe the best way is to do black with baby blue accents if that's a standard option to maybe with silver accents ... no time for atelier or TM, this has to be an 'off the shelf' interior. Help?!
Confirm, it is Iroko with carpets in testa di moro. Unbelievable today is the price for that car, much carbon and rare specced inside. Today this car would be offered for a minimum of 380-400.000 €. Daniel Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very often, the first thoughts are the best. Why do not take a "cheaper" non out of range green and get the carbon with the grigio corsa wheels. Daniel
Stick with your original Verde Abetone spec my friend. While the grey’s on the GTS look great, every other GTS seems to be silver or grey. Your Abetone car will really stand out. No question!
Thank you. If I keep the Abetone spec, should I stick with dark grey wheels or maybe emulate the infamous F40 spec with silver forged wheels with either silver or yellow calipers?
Here are some sample 'blues' that Iain posted earlier. Here are the colour swatches. From the right : Argento Nurburgring 101/C, Grigio Titanio 3238, Grigio Alloy 750, Azzurro Met 592 and Avio Met 591. Avio is the bluest shade then Azzurro with Grigio Alloy being the lightest of these three blues. Image Unavailable, Please Login Grigio Alloy comes off a bit soft. This Azzurro pictured below has a bit more impact to the color. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Abetone with Silver wheels: Image Unavailable, Please Login Green with silver wheels silver calipers (imagine it in Abetone): Image Unavailable, Please Login Scuro with grey wheels (imagine it in Abetone and yellow calipers): Thoughts?
Or, and hear me out here, I shoot myself in the face. This would solve the spec conundrum and also stop me endlessly posting and boring everyone on this thread. It’s a quality solution.
Would keep the dark grey absolutely and pair with black, silver or grigio silverstone calipers. I think because you have painted shields, that’s an ample pop of yellow. Feel free to PM me if you want chat more in detail!
I wish i could have these problems. Daniel P.S. Grigio corsa (dark grey) is the right color for the rims.
Scuro with dark grey wheels and black calipers has my vote. Don't do the yellow calipers. They will be a distraction. Black seats with green Daytona stripes and green piping. Carbon all around. Scuro dream line on the steering wheel and shift paddles. Maybe also do the green leather on the center section of the door and door handles.
Thanks guys. Isn't Grigio Corsa what I had on my 458? Image Unavailable, Please Login The green car I posted above said it has Matte Canna Di Fucile color wheels: https://www.romansinternational.com/used-vehicle-details/Ferrari-812-U951/ Do you guys think the color is different enough from matte black to make a difference?
My Monza rims are grigio corsa. I didn't knew that other dark grey colors are possible. What i know is, that grigio corsa came with the 599 GTO or the 458 speciale. For me very different to black matte. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Go matte CDF wheels, grigio corsa is a bit lighter. I think that one shade darker with CDF makes a world of a difference.
That green car from Romans is stunning. Jake is right, the Romans car wheels are darker and they look great. I hope you will find your dream spec. Daniel
I'm trying not to go too crazy with this spec, let the special color be the thing that stands out whilst complementing it with the interior. I'm doing carbon fibre steering wheel with dream lines on it and the paddlesmbut that's about it on the interior CG wise ... this is the rest of it, but happy to take suggestions from you guys that have done this before: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
two cute by half I would do something simple as Grigio Ferro for the paint with silver wheels and calipers finish as below> Image Unavailable, Please Login For the interior this blue for the seats but without the white accents, more of that amazing blue for the lower dash, door inserts and rear panel behind the seats. Don't stop there with matching blue carpet to. I want the interior to look all of a piece with only the upper dash and the steering wheel in black for minimal glare. My two cents, well spent... Don't skimp. They're never making them like this again. Sure, there's another V12 coming but with drive by wire nonsense and ******** haptic crap. The 812 is a dream to drive with the top down. The next car might not be. Make this your forever car. That's my advice.
These are the optional colours available for wheel finishes along with the ordering codes. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Abetone w/ silver wheels and Cuoio for reference. Currently for sale at Bramley Motor Cars in the UK. I think the dark grey wheels would look great here. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ha I'm not skimping, I'm at about $120k in options. Heck I'd pay $20k extra just to have ventilated seats. It's more a matter of not getting carried away with things that look lovely but don't really matter that much to me.
