I understand this is a PICTURE thread so here's one I took yesterday at Hockenheim. PS: Nobody looks at the cars.......because Kimi is at the back of the truck..... Marcel Massini Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you for the picture. It appears that one must choose a colour that contrasts with the massive front grille on this car otherwise seems to be very bland and lost......
I have done plenty of extra-campionario paint. Seems to be about £1,000 a go. I added a silver line, 1cm thick, around my Speciale stripe, I had Sport sills on my 488 Spider painted wheel colour plus the rear light surrounds and other bits and pieces (car arrives tomorrow - can't wait!)

Funny, looked at them the same time when Kimi was interviewed. Remember that the blue and red had all cf options outside and the Grey had the inner front part painted in Grey as well. Would be interesting to know grey color and see pics from interior, unfortunately I left my phone at parked Dino ...
There were four there, three driven. One, a grey one was on the factory display stand and that one had an all red interior. Marcel Massini Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
May I add a second question to Marcel: I was wondering and discussing about the blue color with several people present yesterday and noone (not even a Ferrari salesmen) could give me an answer. From closeup and from most angles it seemed to be blu tour de France. As soon as the light changed it seemed as well to change to some pink tones. Could this have been a triple layer tdf? Did you manage to get any first hand information regarding the colors of the four 812?

I think these two 812's are likely blu scozia and maybe the canna di fucile Image Unavailable, Please Login
I can assure you that this pic has been heavily photoshopped. That blue is totally wrong, the car (or actually its color) in reality looked quite different, no matter what light it was in. And it is not Blu Scozia, which would be much darker and flat, non metallic. Marcel Massini
Hi all, regarding the colours of these 812 Superfasts, I specifically asked the guy who had the keys of the three 812's: Rosso Corsa Grigio Silverstone Blu Tour de France I then insisted: "Not Rosso 70 anni? -No, Rosso Corsa" "Not CdF? -No, it's Silverstone" "Blu TDF indeed? -Blu Tour de France" oh, well As for the grey 812 in the stand, to my eyes it looked exactly like the Silverstone one. BTW, it was very nice to meet you Marcel, the brief chat with you was among the best of the weekend. Best regards!
When the cars were driving by the blue 812 in Marcel's pictures did look like blu TdF. Would not have guessed silverstone. Those grey colors seem to change depending on what time of day it is. Good thing somebody was on the color chase. Thank you Garretto!
No, it was my pleasure absolutely, unfortunately it was overcast all day so most colours didn't pop as I'm sure they do under the sunshine, and that's where the differences become obvious.
Though I would have liked to see the colour names written, I didn't consider it necessary once the 812 key guy confirmed the colours verbally. He seemed to know what he was talking about and indeed there was no reason for doubt as his answers basically confirmed what was almost obvious. I did get to be shown a boot plaque of a Rosso California Lusso. Will post in its thread.

Your pictures in the overcast light are certainly more in tune with the 3 paint color names mentioned. What did you think of the 812 design? People often comment that the three dimensional look of the modern Ferrari design does not translate well in mere pictures compared with in person views...
