Not necessarily. My GTS was delivered a couple months back and I have yet to receive my final production photo. I don’t think I am alone either.
We recently hooked up our customer based in Florida, popular YouTuber Caio Araujo, with a set of Novitec NF10 wheels for this new 812 Superfast! We went with a custom "Platinum" finish for the wheels and it pairs perfectly with the color of the car Check out his vlog below of him unboxing and installing the wheels (skip to 15:30 to see the wheels on the car): Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just bought a 812 in the last week or so. Nero Daytona color, so I stopped at the Daytona racetrack after dropping my daughter off at the Daytona airport and took these shots! Enjoy!
I finally got around to installing my wheel spacers. It’s still mind boggling that Ferrari can’t (or won’t) get the stance right on these cars straight from the factory. I’m extremely happy with the results. These are 14mm in the front and 17mm in the rear. I also had the Capristo valve controller installed. Pure magic. https://capristoexhaust.com/product/ferrari-458-ff-f12-812-wheel-spacers-circle-shape-14mm-front-17mm-rear/ Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Awesome car in a great color ! First, I took the same 14/17 mm from Capristo, but i had to change to 14/14mm with the SP rims. Street legal Capristo kit with longer titanium bolts, great quality. Daniel Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Did someone say Daytona? That's where I broke mine in. Took delivery 01/21/20. Put 'er on a trailer and drove to Daytona. Went high on the banks to pass a 333SP, GTO replica & F12 TDF. Image Unavailable, Please Login
How much do they charge you to drive your car on the track? Do you need a helmet and a 3 point seat harness/seatbelt?
I don't remember. IIRC Ferrari of Palm Beach or the local FCA......or whomever runs the track the M-T or whatever following the 24 hours. You get to run it in full race configuration, Really cool. Nothing extra, just the usual track day inspection, helmets & gloves, long pants, shoes, done everywhere......typical track day $$$
Yup. Took a right out of the dealership. Drove 70 miles. Took a right. Drove 3 miles down our county & turned into our driveway. Loaded up the trailer and two days later I unloaded it behind the hotel. Image Unavailable, Please Login Had the obligatory two or three first time out ditch-defying moments driving around the hotel and went to the track. Nothing like paper plates at Daytona................ Image Unavailable, Please Login Brand spankin' new. Fortunately, my coach was a local pro (forgot his name) so he helped me bed the brakes in perfectly.......... He's the one that said go high and pass 'em Fortunately, the photographer got us following the TDF. Image Unavailable, Please Login Rode hard and put up wet....... Image Unavailable, Please Login ps You know, breaking in my 812 at Daytona with paper plates was/is pretty fn cool. But doing that and wearing the gloves Michael wore when he won Montreal in 2000.................... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Correct you are, my bad lol, that's what I get for typing and working at the same time! Either way, still stunning!
Check out Chin Tack Days...the best group going. They will pair you up with an instructor to teach you how to drive on a track and keep it safe. After you master the skills in the Novice group you can move up and work on other track driving skills and then get signed off for solo. You can go through Chin's instructor school and learn to instruct as well. Most fun I ever had in my life. I did track events, mostly with Chin but a few other groups too from 2005-2021. Chin will be at Daytona October 11. It's $399 for the day and includes your instructor. For your 1st time you can borrow/rent a helmet from Chin. Or go buy one and I recommend Wine Country Motorsports that has a store over at Sebring raceway. DO IT! https://chintrackdays.com/tracks.aspx?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADqq6hDYO_cQkg8Qt2phgBjRZ4Es6&gclid=CjwKCAjwqMO0BhA8EiwAFTLgIAVtHC29trkmcniGwJhHSMBymNy0_3CmSUbIJkDL5RVKzH3ocnMgOhoCpmoQAvD_BwE
I'll have to call State Farm Insurance first. I've heard stories that your car insurance is voided if you have an accident on the track. Do you know anything about this? Thanks! It's almost as bad as the stories that I hear about Ferrari voiding factory warranties because you installed an Novitec exhaust system or spacers, or anything aftermarket.
There are no street car insurance companies any more that cover track use. There are insurance companies that offer track use insurance though.
