It is quite incredible when one looks at that pic of the 812 engine bay just how far back the V12 sits - well behind the centre line of the front axle

Thanks for the nice pics of the gray car.

It is interesting that the pictures and videos of this car under the bright Autoshow lights makes the color look much lighter than in this "in the wild" picture.

And when I met with the owner of my local dealership, he said that he thought this gray opaci color suited the car since the lines are so important. With some colors the lines can become lost.

He also mentioned that the gray car looks almost black from some angles.I found this statement surprising since all the images from the show did not convey this.

Until these latest pictures. Now I know he was correct. This paint is one which I will need to see with my own eyes.

Maybe Ferrari is testing future evolutions for 812 GTO or hybrid things for 812 successor.


Maybe they only continue to test it and improve it

Haha. Sure! Have to pay for all those CF and semi-aniline leather upgrades somehow.

I'm not a black rim aficionado by nature, but I think some cars/colors look good with them. Love the look of them on my Guards Red 911, but wouldn't consider them for my avorio Cali.

Does anyone know if the red 812 in Monaco is the same shade of red as the one in Geneva?
To my eye, the Monaco example seems a darker red. Thanks...T

 

Same shade. A unique paint, changes colour like a triple layer but is a solid.

I got a quick soundcheck from this one at the dealer showroom and compared to a stock F12 it's louder and more throatier, sounds very good!

The car was the red one from Geneva and had racing seats with standard leather. I will definetly upgrade the leather. As mentionend from many others, the quality and feeling of the standard leather is not very well.
Due to the thousands of people which getting in and out of the car during the Autosalon the leather is heavily worn.
