I think that it's about time that we started the OFFICIAL Ferrarichat UFO Thread. The subject comes up time after time. I submit that I am probably the only F-chat member who read "Flying Saucers-Serious Business" by Frank Edwards back in 1966 when it came out. I also bought "The Truth About the UFO Crash at Roswell" by Kevin Randall back in 1994. I was given "Crash at Corona" that describes the Roswell Incident by another author. (I loaned it out years ago and haven't got it back....yet.)

I also have some ancient copies of "Official UFO" magazine from the 70s that I bought at the newstand when they were new. Somewhere I have some APRO, NICAP, and MUFON literature from 30 years ago. During the UFO flap of 1973, the UFO headlines were printed in red ink by the local newspaper and somewhere I still have the original front page.

I also have 2 genuine original Ground Observer Corps badges. A cool bit of quasi UFO memorabilia. Supposedly the GOC was developed to spot Russian bombers flying over American soil. Some say it was a ruse to have mass citizens phone in UFO reports because the chances of a Russian bomber ever making it to the coast of California or the wheatfields of Kansas were pretty slim.

Only 2 rather undramatic sightings to my credit. An extremely bright light spotted flying low over town during the above mentioned flap of 1973 was the first. A few years later, while staring up at a friend working atop an antenna tower one afternoon, we noticed a simple white round object at extreme altitude, flying rapidly in a straight line.

Any other F-chat UFO buffs with a long history?

I'm not sure about all the UFO talk, but I've seen plenty of simple round objects flying in a straight line at extreme altitudes, but those are satilites not UFO's.

I'm a huge believer !! Have seen about 4 in my life time. Last one observed about 2 weeks ago. Was out fishing and relaxing on the water, watched a silver object in the distance, thought it was the sun reflecting off of a jet, then just disappeared [ UFO ?? not sure ]
Another - I was about 13 at the time, was looking out my bedroom window at night, watched a LARGE yellow disc go by rather slowly.
Another - was about 13 again, myself and about 5 others watched a yellow lit disc move slowly across the sky. It had lights rotating around the center and moved in a zig zag [ that was pretty cool ]
Last - was about 30 and driving home at night, saw 4 lights spread rather far apart and moving very very slow. I followed in my car for about 8 miles into a farm area, the lights changed from white to multi colors. a car pulled over and asked if I was OK, My reply - Did you see those lights ? the people in the car looked at me like I was nuts and drove off. I called the AFB in the area and asked if they had anything on radar, they said no and wanted to send an official to my haouse . I said No thanks and hung up.

The question that remains to be answered is this:

What is so fundamentally interesting about the human species as a whole that warrants any kind of investigation from a civilization so advanced that space travel in their life time is a feasible undertaking?

Humans as a whole are not interesting because, as a whole, they still believe in the the Tooth Fairy or Jesus or any variation of thereof...Abrahamics at work here. When you have a population of a planet that believes in myths and unqualified belief systems dating back THOUSANDS of years, then you have a globe of loonies on your hand...do you want them to communicate with your own advanced culture? So what if the random Einstein posits a few truths...the underlying lunacy remains. Jews, Christians, Muslims, who would take such nut cases on board? Santa Claus...Jesus...The Easter Bunny...Mewhammed...I'd not want that level of softness of mind to be exposed to my culture...would you? There is an underlying lunacy associated with The Planet Earth, and until we sort that out, cosmic refueling stations will be built not in the vicinity of our odd little religious orb.

Humans aren't that novel in the universal perspective of things. Our science is bad and our politics are worse. We spend far more money on figuring out how to kill each other than how to overcome diseases. We glorify war and downplay scientific progress. Furthermore, genuine scientific progress is watered down by politics. New approaches to saving our planet from ourselves are lost in a sea of bickering and politics. People that try to illuminate our impact on the environment are mired in bull**** studies and baloney peer reviews, some payed for by the major players that are killing our planet.

Planet Earth isn't interesting at all. It's population of 6 billion some odd are mostly stupid apes that should have stayed on the vine; the exceptions number in the hundreds over a thousand years; the rest of you can go sit on a banana.

What if the UFO's are people from the future who are time traveling?

Exactly. Why would aliens... if they exist... want to visit our planet? and remain unseen?????? What's the point?

Negative. Time travel will require almost god-like powers that would in all likeness create alternative universes, paradoxes and other weird stuff. Imagine people travelling back in time and finding that there was no Jebus? Or better yet, Imagine people travelling back in time, to Roman empire and teaching them about Penicilin. We would have been to Mars by 9th century CE and to other galaxies by Middle Ages.

Yes, but what if once you change the history in the past, that time line will branch off and go the other direction? And the original time line continues without any changes. So there is infinite parallel universe to reflect any changes we make in the past.

Stephen Hawking has made the best point about the impossibilty of time traveling: If it was possible, every place worth seeing would be crowded with tourists from the future. :D

Yes they are authentic I took them myself, the enlarged part has the brightness adjusted to make the lights more visible. The picture was taken on a hilltop overlooking Tumon bay, Guam and beyond the buildings is nothing but ocean and is also an area known as the “Dragons triangle”. The dragons triangle has more missing ship and planes reports then the Bermuda triangle and is also one of the top places in the world for UFO sightings.

The Air Force gets to use the old "it was jets dropping flares while on a training mission" excuse again. It really appears that it WAS just a meteor, but I guess the Air Force wants to use their standard excuse at all times to maintain a bit of consistancy, even though all credibility is long gone.
