now that photos are surfaced i am definitely sure that this looks uglier than the normal coupe when the top is on. the window arch is very ugly imo. and i don't like that new thicker stripe/vent on the wheel arch too much either compared to the coupe. if this is the special car to celebrate 70th anniversary i must say it is a big let down for me.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the yellow piping on the seats and the mismatched red calipers, but to each his own.

I don't like the window arches either. It was a way to say I agree with you.

I am sorry to repeat the question, but can anyone approve the info whether the production of 499 LaFerraris has come to end in 2015 or it is still assembled?

the hard top is much better. but the way this car looks is just too similar to the coupe that has been in production for a couple years which makes it quite underwhelming to me.

I'm quite bewildered by the lack of enthusiasm with this release. I think it's got something to do with the psychological phenomenon of anchoring. Because we were so used to the coupe being so good that the relative difference between the coupe and aperta is smaller than expected. Yet if the coupe was never released than would everyone be going nuts for this release? Like if the aperta came out first, would we be super excited if the coupe version was released now?

I guess it doesn't matter to the prices as the anchoring effect works on the prices in reverse. As everyone has the price of the coupe, than a limited run of the more exclusive model would automatically increase everyone's perception of the aperta price. And Ferrari would just to have to do the bare minimum to ensure the aperta is released and still reap the new prices. Pretty good business decision.

I've noticed that if I stop comparing it to the coupe than its actually a pretty good looking car.
