can anybody tell me where i can get a copy of this short movie?
There's a few on Ebay at the moment - but are you region 1 or 2 for DVD - there's always copies to download somewhere on the internet too - otherwise any of the major car book stores should be able to help eg chater & scott or motor books - for example : C'était un Rendezvous DVD MINT, Ferrari, 275 GTB, Item number: 6463439542
Below is the passage from the movie: "On an August morning in 1978, French filmmaker Claude Lelouch mounted a gyro-stabilized camera to the bumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had a friend, a professional Formula 1 racer, drive at breakneck speed through the heart of Paris. The film was limited for technical reasons to 10 minutes; the course was from Porte Dauphine, through the Louvre, to the Basilica of Sacre Coeur. No streets were closed, for Lelouch was unable to obtain a permit. The driver completed the course in about 9 minutes, reaching nearly 140 MPH in some stretches. The footage reveals him running real red lights, nearly hitting real pedestrians, and driving the wrong way up real one-way streets. Upon showing the film in public for the first time, Lelouch was arrested. He has never revealed the identity of the driver, and the film went underground until a DVD release a few years ago. Now, thanks to the miracle of the Internets, you can watch it in your browser."
"A Man and a Woman" which is on Speed Channel Saturday night. Has some racing in it so I'm setting the VCR. One rumor had Jacque Laffite as the driver.....
Awesome movie; including a spectacular sequence of a GT40 on the track! Keep in mind the car was in its prime when the movie was made. The exhaust sound is hair raising.
Video was awsome,,,,,,felt like I was really driving through Paris streets.....I was waiting for an accident!!!!!!!!!!!
