Only if you stay on the main road . On the inside there is absolutely nobody. Dutches seems not to like hilly terrain . Ciao Eugenio
I don't care who's playing in the final, I want a TV not too far away. Thanks for organising all this Andrea.
Interesting point by Eugenio. Maybe we can combine both ideas? Everything is fine for us. We are looking forward to the Italian sunshine, good wine, delicious meals and good company.
I suspect that Italy will not be there either. Unless Mr. Moggi is in charge of the referee designation . Ciao Eugenio
Eugenio, while we are in St Margherita we are free to do what we want. That includes driving the back Tuscanny roads. The only problem is the garage is very tight and the traffic around St Margherita is a bit of a pain. Many of the others coming from further away will be glad of a few days rest, as there is plenty of opportunity for driving once we head off to San Gimingano. If any one DOES want to go off driving while we are at SM do not park your car at the back of the garage
Simon, I will be staying at my house that is nearby. Mark will be my guest. We will find a place to park there. Ciao Eugenio
Anybody else (apart from us Anja & me) staying in the HOTEL in S. Margherita? Looks like everybody has his private summer house there Mhmmm....I will advice my skipper to bring our little fishing-cutter over from Monaco Image Unavailable, Please Login
... sadly no private summer house for me either But probably we Minerva mates will roll the bones. (REM Andermatt!) cinque
I'll be there every morning... to wake you up from your hangovers!!! Anyway, regarding what Eugenio suggests: I personally will not drive those 2 days, apart from going from my house to Minerva (actually I may use the bus and just leave the car at Minerva anyway). Traffic around the coast is HORRENDOUS (you won't believe how bad it was last week already) and although it is true that the backroads in the hills are quieter, those near the Portofino/Camogli/S. Margherita area are very narrow and also quite busy. Where Eugenio lives is a lot better, but it takes a lot of time to get there from where we are. Whoever wants to drive with Eugenio is free to do so, what I expressed is only my personal opinion. Eugenio please understand I have nothing against this, I know you don't have many chances to drive your 328 and want to exploit it as much as you can but I think I will "rest" my car for a couple of days and go by boat instead. Andrea PS - I will check the seafood restaurant availability on Portofino Hill for the last evening. I'll let you know, but we are a big party and we may not find space at this point.
Hey Eugenio - driving to St Margherita sounds like a pain. I suggest we just spend the days driving the back roads, cleaning our cars and drinking soda water!! I hate the bloody beach anyway. Cheers, MARK
Holger and I are probably going to return to UK a day earlier than the rest of the UK contingent. Family commitments... Cheers, MARK
Does that mean you don't need a room in Molveno anymore? I booked it for you... Let me know ASAP. Thanks Andrea
Mark is on a diet! He banned alcohol out of his life for a longer period. This is good because it means that we have more wine!
Having seen a couple of recent pictures I see your point. But what is one week in comparison to eternity? I will badly tempt him! Ciao Eugenio
