MARK !!!! Its a great worry to me and I`m serious concerned about you...... - you are on diet - you banned alcohol - you hate the beach - you want to leave the party 1 day earlier Seems something went wrong in your life?! What happened? Do you need help or to talk to somebody - you know we have a doctor on board
Some of us being ugly beasts (I hope translation from Italian "brutte bestie" is sound...), a vet could be appropriate! Ciao Eugenio (the ugly)
Hi Gents, After the psychological abuse I suffered at the hands of Vet Ton, Ing. Simon and Deutscher Holger over the Deil weekend, I have gone on a strict diet. No bread, no pasta, no potato, no pizza, no fat, no sugar, no dairy products, no alcohol, no salt and lots of fruit, vegetables, water and some meat. It's easy, and I have lost 5 kilos in just over 2 weeks. I hope to lost 10-15 kilos more before Tuscany, and my target is a total loss of 25 kilos, to get me back to the weight I was when I left the Czech Republic. I will clearly not be able to be that strict in Tuscany, but don't want to set myself back too much. Beach? Nooo...did too much of that stuff as a kid. I really don't like lying in the sun, and I dislike the sand intensely! Sure, I am a scuba diver and windsurfer, but I cannot lie there doing nothing. In any event, despite coming from Africa, my fair skin just goes red and painful without protection factor 99+, so why the hell put myself through the pain and discomfort...and sand! Andrea, we have not arranged our channel crossing yet - will let you know as soon as we do (and if we finally decide to return a day early). Wolfgang - leaving Debs at home with Karl for the whole period is a little embarassing as it is. I would like to get home a day earlier so that we can spend time together before we both go to work the following day. Holger has the same issue. We're not leaving the party a day early, we're just extending it to the UK! I look forward to those B-roads Eugenio! Cheers, MARK
The 30,000kms service, cam seal replacement and belt change is coming along nicely on my car. Hopefully I'll have the FIAT 328 back together by then to keep Eugenio, Marc and Mark company in Tuscanny. I have since discovered that this work is a lot easier with a few sausages in the tool kit and a friend to hold the camshafts in place Image Unavailable, Please Login

About the sausages a.k.a. "Bratwurst". After an intensive inspection of the above pic: The left Bratwurst looks O.K. and fine to me, good combustion/buring (looks like a sparkplug from the anterior cylinder row) The right Bratwurst looks very bad burning, overheated too less cooling (looks like a sparkplug from the rear cylinder row).
LOL I assure you Wolfgang, both Bratwurst were very good. I think the darker one was from the back bank of the barbeque.
Anybody else doing any work on their car before Tuscanny? I know Mark and Marc have both done services (30,000miles I think) I've also got new tyres. The S-03's are coming off and I'm trying S-02's in Tuscanny.
Maura just called me from Italy. After one year spent as garage queen, my car passed the yearly mechanic / smog test in flying colors!! Ciao Eugenio
Do not even say that ! I have been reported that only problem is the slightly high idle (1050 rmp). Should i start a thread in the technical section ? Ciao Eugenio
Yup - I had a ball-breaking 30,000 service. A lot of money spent and I can see nothing for it, bar a new boot seal! The central-locking still does not work, the radio/Hi-Fi-thing is broken and the air-con is out of gas...but, hey, apparently I have a couple of new shims on the valve-thingies! What are S-02's and S-03's Simon? I am on Pirelli P-Zero Nero's. Great in the dry - scary in the rain. Thanks for the photos Simon...damn...I'm in awe! MARK
Bridgestone Potenza S-02 and S-03 are rain tyres. I have Pirelli PZero Corsa Dry on the SZ. They ARE scary in the wet
Yes, Ton's right. Lets keep it on topic. Who wants to start a general 328 bits and pieces chit chat thread?
The problem is not how far, but how long it takes to get there... I will post a picture of the itinerary. It is more or less 20 Km, and if you want you can use the motorway. My guess is that in the morning it could take 30 minutes, give or take 5 for traffic. as I said before, my plans are slightly different for this first part of the trip. I plan to drive around quite a bit, together, it seems, with Mark and whoever wants to come. Depending on this second factor (if someone else wants to join) We will either pass through Santa Margherita or start directly from my place.
Eugenio is about half an hour's drive away - you've seen the Google Earth waypoint Ton. From that it seems to be the opposite side of the bay from where you will be staying, but Eugenio knows the situation way better than I do. MARK
