Saturday is just simply a day to get to the starting point! :)
The beautiful scenery will follow the whole week after that! Ha ha.

I've got a lot of experience driving up and down Europe (I must have driven to England 20 times). In my experience the BEST way to get to us in Switzerland is the following:

    Calais
    Lille
    Liege
Aachen -> then take the A61 south towards Koblenz

    Go past Koblenz,

then after Mannheim STAY on the A61 (DON'T go to Kahrlsruhe - the motorway is real ****e, low speed limits, bad surface and lots of trucks).

When the A61 meets the A81 go south towards Stuttgart. This approach is a lot faster (a good part of this section is UNLIMITED :) ).

Simply stick to the A81 around Stuttgart, direction Konstanz. It's a BLAST from Stuttgart to Konstanz (no speed limits for 170Km!!!) My record is 43 min. Can you beat it? :D

After Konstanz pass the border into Kreuzlingen and smile to the nice Swiss border guards :) and follow the coastal road to Romanshorn and Arbon.

DO NOT go even 5 Km/h above the posted speed limits in Switzerland. 50 means 50, 60 means at best 65, and 80 can be 90. But no more or you'll end up very very sorry. The Swiss don't joke with speed limits in urban areas. Also, the chances are the border guards will probably radio ahead to warn local cops of a group of potential "customers" arriving... :(

    Beautiful Mark.
Is that the GTC? I notice the 250 style grill at the front.

    Guys,

Another option is that Mark, Marc and Kevan cross the channel on friday evening. You can spend the night at my place. The next morning after breakfast we can drive relaxed to Switzerland.

Let me know what you think?
