You know you've made it to the Big Time when you get your own hate thread. I'll cast the first stone. WTF was he thinking ?
Haha! He was thinking "I'll mistime my pass on my teammate, and if it all goes wrong, people will just blame him anyway."
Ambitious move by a driver who may have been given indirect better treatment and is reacting to a Webber who is driving away from Vettel. Vettel is fallable and impatient. Still young but fast. He will learn. I dont hate him but his move was the one that cause the wreck. Nothing done by Webber caused it. Webber should keep pushing on. Id love to see him(Webber) win the WDC and dump Red Bull. Would cause a few here to re think Webber and his capability. Certainly has opened my eyes a bit about him. The team is mis handling this big time. Webber needs to keep cool and keep out driving Vettel. Only the results will matter and cannot be argued with.
Over the top that, hate no way the facts are not clear the lad is WDC in the making its a rough road to the top, and I should know I have defended Hamilton enough times..
Red mist in Turkey turned Vettel into a proverbial kommakazie psycho bozo that Webber will try to stay away from...probably both on and off the track.
Since team orders are not allowed, when you are told to "save fuel" and your team mate is behind you and he is told he has plenty of fuel and fresh tyres, it probably means "move over" in team code. http://www.formula1.com/news/interviews/2010/5/10855.html Vettel thought MW would let him pass. He should have known his team mate better. I like Seb, he made a mistake, but I still find him more likeable than Lewis. And the stunt made good watercooler fodder for the next day! Can we start a hate thread instead for Lewis' *****cat doll girlfriend that sounded like a ridiculous airhead during the prerace interview?
Apparently, Nicole does not do well without a script. I doubt if Hami is fascinated by her intellect. She is a great dancer and he probably enjoys doing the horizontal mambo with her. Just a guess.
I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and say she just gets nervous in front of the camera when she is ambushed and put on the spot by Brundle.... lol
Hate is such a strong word, but I find myself rooting for Hamilton like crazy when he is up against 'Seb'. So that is saying something.
The blame cannot be laid at Webber's feet IMHO. He was leading the race. Not only did he not close the door on him, but he left a car's width plus and allowed room for another car, knowing that other car would have to brake earlier with less braking room...hard, but fair, especially since he was leading the race. He handled it a lot cleaner than other drivers I could mention. Seb got it wrong on this one. He needs to acknowledge his error, make amends with Webber, and try to repair their good working relationship...I believe this course of action would be in his long-term best interests. Frank
There are radios. Easy and honest to tell everyone the car ahead is slowing down and it is your intention to pass but will await to hear word. Use code in case of rule infringement, at least everyone is aware. Same applies for Button. I love watching a duel but the team makes the call. Totally ridiculous at this level to believe pulling a fast one on your team mate is proper. Barrichello followed the rules but imho, it was shameful for him to make it obvious. Pironi remains the prime example of how to disintegrate a team.
I remember when everyone was praising young SV and jumping down LH's throat so I'm not going to jump on any dislike bandwagon here. I don't hate any driver but I strongly dislike Alonso for being an all around punk and Webber just because. Speaking of Alonso, it would seem that it did not take long for Emperor Unhappy to make himself known. Do a search, I called it. Not that he would perform this badly but that IF he did he would make everyone on the team miserable. It would appear that time is at hand. Alonso is simply not worth the headache.
I have no hate for Vettel, but he made a boneheaded, ego-driven mistake. It will take him a while to live that one down. He was getting used to the idea of being the Golden Boy, with old man Webber being a clear #2, but that's simply not the case.
