The 430 exhaust itself is a great exhaust. My dealers shop custom made this. Sound is unbelievable. I know I know... where is the sound clip. I will get one up eventually. No engine light, no issue and super easy to install yourself. Not sure if he will mass produce but if anyone is interested let me know. Also, will drive around with it in the city and on the track to see how much heat is produced. As you can see it is wrapped with exhaust tape. (Fully wrapped now). Will keep you updated.

On a side note, will line the hood above the pipe with muffler tape just in case.

It appears all you have done is eliminated the silencer. For me. On a long drive, I would find the loudness would be annoying after a bit.

That is the most bizarre x pipe design I have ever seen

Japan is the most Bizarre country I have ever lived in.... so it makes sense.

Yes bisel, you are absolutely right, just trying it out. if it starts to get too loud for me 8 bolts to change to stock.

I feel like I'm staring at an MC Escher drawing : )

That is pretty damn interesting, but I really don't understand it. The stock exhaust does not cross like that with the merge in the middle. The pipes just run through the muffler, but don't combine.

Many people run X-pipes and are happy with them. All the x-pipes I've seen are equal length. I guess those are technically equal length too, but they wanted to combine them for some reason with that

I like what my Palestinian buddy says about Japan (never been myself). "I love visiting! It's like being in a cartoon!" : )

Would love to hear more about who did it and why it is designed that way. Did they put it on a dyno by any chance?

I don't think it is technically an x-pipe honestly. The x has to be tighter and setup differently to help scavenging across banks based on my basic understanding. There is also some debate as to whether an x-pipe is the best design (for performance) on a flat-plane V8. Almost closer to an H-pipe IMHO.

Interesting. Valves closed the exhaust flow goes through the H pipe which traditionally has more back pressure and low end torque. Valves open and the majority of the exhaust goes out w/o crossing over.

This does not make any sense from a flow dynamic point of view. The wrapped part I can see makes some sense since the pipe splits in two and maintains direction. The unwrapped portion of system splits and changes direction, thus going against the other pipe's flow direction. No idea what the idea behind this system is.

    I agree ...

Can't be correct at all ... flows are absolutely not equal imo ...

Interesting comments. Please keep it going as I do not know anything about this area. So would this modification eventually hurt the car?

Oh and by the way, the whole thing is wrapped. just in the picture there was not enough tape at the time.
